The utter naivety of some people here thinking that their own government doesn't spy on them through their phone manufacturers.

Class action suits are always about the attorneys that filed them making a pile of cash. The consumers that accept $20 waive their right to file their own suit. Apple can make this go away, change nothing and the Apple fans will line up for the 17. No problem$ here boy$

Lesson learned, never let your voice assistant activate by voice. My Android phone Google Assistant is turned off and only can be activate by power button or gesture. Same goes with my iPhone, Siri is turned off and can only be activate by pressing power button or "type to Siri" function on the control panel. You never know who or what is listing to you 😵‍💫

So much about apple and their privacy... I think apple is the worst in the privacy of all manufacturers.

Dont spend it all a once

Anyone can do very simple test.
Just say to your phone, TV or tablet without using any search engine, just on homescreen or with screen off: I need to buy (and instert here something that you would never buy or discuss at all)
For example, Im not into baseball, Im from EU, we dont really play it here, I never watched it, I never used any equipment. I dont even know how to play it. So I said to my phone: "I need to buy baseball glove" every day for a few days. All google voice systems were off, and what?
Yeah, I got adverts in amazon about baseball caps and jackets... but no gloves! So they really need to optimize their listening bots :D

                                "Privacy. That's iPhone."

Nobody pays almost 100 million Dollars if they didn't do anything wrong.
So, regardless what the settlement-statement actually says, this paying alone is already proof of wrongdoing.
