I have One Plus 11 now, for almost 2 years and battery is almost as new. At 93% of capacity. If you charge and game all day battery will not last 1 year due to insane heat strains. You need to also know how to use your device correctly and do not destroy your battery, Also I don't game and I don't use my phone while charging 🙂

If phone don't have audio jack , then battery will die even faster due to usb-c power hungry socket

If you own flagship you should use it for minimum 4 years. Considering smartphones evolution completely stagnating for past 6 years. There is literally barely improvements comparing flagships from 5 years ago and now. Cameras barely improving, screens are all same and the only noticeable improvement is performance, and only if you play games. If you don't even that is not noticible.

I saw this person's previous top phones list and while they are also BBK dominated they do have other brands mentioned, so doesn't look "based" to me.

Looks like a lot of people didn't read the first and last paragraphs here and saw only the list and commenting based on that.
The guy said this in the first paragraph:
"But before I proceed, I'd like to mention that, as always, I've compiled the list of smartphones from the ones I got to use myself here in India for an extended duration, so there's always a chance that you may not see some phones in the list, no matter how good they are and how much of a high praise they received from us. We are talking about our personal favorites, after all. With that disclaimer out of the way, these are my top 5 phones of 2024, in no particular order."
And then this is the last paragraph:
"I used smartphones from other brands as well, and they were good, but not good enough to be in my top 5."
Anyone with basic English understanding can tell the dude used phones from other brands as well but didn't like their products enough to include in them in their top 5. If it was top 10 maybe we could have seen those. The first paragraph also says personal favorites and that's what these picks in the list are.

Way to go GSMArena for being diverse!
Secondly, for the question raised by Sagar in reference to Realme, let me say I used my last phone for 7 years. My current phone is on its 4th year so yes they need to extend their software support.
My idea is that they should improve stock android slightly in menus and all, then apply their apps on top of it, otherwise the research turns out too much for them.

Although, I must say, all these phones are just the latest flagships. I expected top phones to be a composite mix.
For example, my list would've included Nord CE4, a phone with memory card slot and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, still faster than a Snapdragon 865 after all.
Extending to 1TB memory in a sub 25k almost-flagship phone is no less than a power.
Also, that Samsung Galaxy Activ 7 phone which has removable battery and microSD slot, I can't recall the name.

The same can be said of any list that has apple or samsung phones, since they have the most common and most popular flagship phones in their list, those list makers are paid. How about that?

Now this is better. There are flagships and flagships killers. More variation. I may or may not agree with the selections, but it’s more realistic and inclusive versus only listing top flagship models.
