Hurraaiiii soon we'll have 7 inch and more screens meaning that special trousers will be required to carry them. Why not sell a television set with phone capabilities? I don't get this craze of big, bigger and biggest. What's the point, even if you don't have a computer or tablet you still have to carry around a very big slab every day.

Very nice... We can hope that the next generation (Redmi 15C) to have amoled ? :)

La fone dumasse, 06 Jan 2025But of course they still continue to do it to make more and... moreOf course they won't stop, and that's why they should be stopped.

DarlingYext, 06 Jan 2025Another useless rebrand, with no NFC, making it extra usele... moreBut of course they still continue to do it to make more and more money. The guys over at xiaomi probably thought of using the 4 gen 2 instead of the 4s to make it "different" from the A4 and C75 5G.

I would rather get the Vivo V40 Lite than this. Same SoC but with Amoled.

my last fair price is 15USD

Another useless rebrand, with no NFC, making it extra useless.

When will Xiaomi be stopped? Because they should be at this point.

The only good thing this tablet has - yes, at this size it's a tablet - is the headphone jack.

I mean I could see this phone or Redmi 14C 4G as proper replacement for my grandma's Redmi 9C that is now showing its age right now. Yeah, I know it's not perfect by any mean but considering my grandma only use WhatsApp, YouTube, and Chrome, getting Redmi Note 14 series or even the flagship Xiaomi is overkill for her.

Very good phone, rare for this price to have a fairly modern SoC. What I just don't like is that v notch.

                        11/13% in single + multi-core better than 4s.

Thought this wouldve been an a4 rebadge. Thank goodness they used the 4, not the 4sh-

you have to suffer, 06 Jan 2025IP52 is quite unusual since there are barely any phones doe... moreHell, almost all phones could easily get an IP53 rating as well, so I don't know what's lacking about this phone that made it IP52 instead. It's once again just a waste of manufacturing costs to test for it just to have an official IP52 rating.

Darth Caesium, 06 Jan 2025The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 uses Samsung's 4LPX node (which... moreIP52 is quite unusual since there are barely any phones does it.
also, yes 4/64 is a criminal considered we are in 2025. not 2020
this might be the successor to the redmi 10C besides the 13C 5G. 4G versions are just essentially 9C.

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 uses Samsung's 4LPX node (which is a rename from their 5LPE node). This SoC is barely any more efficient than an SoC built on TSMC N6 (such as the Helio G99!). I guess the good thing is that it's got the performance of a Snapdragon 695, so this is significantly better compared to its predecessor's Dimensity 6100+ and it's overall great in performance in general for the price.

The UFS 2.2 is very much welcome like on the Redmi 13C 5G, though the 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage on the base model is criminal. Give the base model 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage (at the same price of course), the middle model 8GB of RAM and the most expensive model 256GB of storage and I wouldn't complain.

The display is fine for the price (everything at this price point is 720p anyway), and the increased refresh rate from 90Hz to 120Hz is great, though I question the size of the display when the bezels are thick enough to make this one a chunky boi in width. If a smaller display reduced the cost of manufacturing, then they should've gone for it. Otherwise, keep it, my one concern really isn't a big deal.

The cameras are also fine for the price (nice to see the 8MP selfie camera compared to 5MP), and the increased battery capacity is a nice bonus. The IP52 rating is at least something, even if it's not the IP64 that Realme is doing now on their budget phones, but I question whether it's even worth testing for from a cost perspective when almost all phones could get an IP52 rating without any problems anyway.

The weight is because of the glass back, because if you look again at the spec sheet, it says only blue is 205g the other two are 212g
