I use folds since Samsung 2nd generation and most of the time didn`t need to carry the laptop with me. That is a game changer for some users.           It's say Theo R&D spending paid off quite well for years! And we'll worth it that the entire industry gained from. Many others innovations is due to Samsung's innovations! Just cause the still it and not use it themselves does mean they're not innovating!!

Samsung should start working on rollables, we never know when rollables will required by Samsung to boost it's sales. Trigolds, bifolds are too expensive, too delicate to become a mass market device like regular phones are. I don't think they will boost sales or profits of Samsung like rollables will.

                  yes, its a tri-fold, it folds in three pieces. stop coping about it every article, goddamn.

                    If only LG was still in the smartphone market and perfected their Rollable concept phone. While I always anticipate for tri-fold smartphone, I always can't help but think that it's just a bridge for rollable future.

                      just buy a normal bar phone and a normal tablet and use them happily for 5 years. You'll save money. Your devices will last. And if they break, they can be easily repaired (at least, they are relatively easier to repaired than foldables).

                      Seriously, foldables are rich people's toys. Bifolds are cool and have *some* functionality (maps and reading ebooks), but trifolds make little functional sense.

                        We have a good idea why Samsung's foldables break. We don't know why Huawei's break. It may not be dust. They don't even refer to the damage as a cracked screen like we do with the Z. They call it ink leaks. From a durability and portability standpoint, Samsung's proposed design is better. However, from a productive standpoint, I think the 1/2/3 panel option is better as opposed to just 1 or 3.
