PepperPot, 08 Jan 2025I actually prefer Huawei's outer design. I understand... moreYour insurance company definitely prefers Huawei's useless design. You can't put it in a pocket without breaking the 1,100 buck display and the hinges can't deal with dust. Another rushed tofu dreg build.

I actually prefer Huawei's outer design. I understand an innie foldable protects the screen, but you can't unfold it into a "normal" two panel foldable. Some people won't care, but I would feel very self conscious opening a double hinge device in public.
They could design it so the outer screen and back panel is slightly bigger and the wings close like a shipping box, but the handle would be facing you when it is open as a normal fold. They need a 360 degree hinge.

Finally first Trifold phone with functional OS (Android), proper Play Store, and latest tech Chipset.
Good job Samsung👍
Hope any chinese brand will follow Samsung on creating a functional Trifold phone with Android OS.

Wesker, 08 Jan 2025Never thought I'd live long enough to see the next inn... moreAtleast Samsung makes their own smartphone parts.
Unlike any chinese brand, that can only buy parts and never actually innovate.
Not to mention, almost every of their new phone only look like a cheap copy of Samsung from Temu.

cant wait for scamsung fanboys to forget about the fragility of this phone, if it gets released. Everyone clowned on Huawei for the Mate XT, saying it's too fragile for a normal user or some bs like that. Lmaooo this release is certainly going to be interesting

Dimi68, 08 Jan 2025Unique? It's been done already Yeah, by Samsung. Samsung already had this prototype way back in the early days of foldables.

Samsung innovating?
What timeline is this, last time they innovated was 2019.
Now only thing left is for Apple to become pro consumer company and we truly would live in weirdest timeline.
