I get uniformity and all, and people will feel good about their A series looking like a flagship, but I don't think that's a good feeling when you spend near $1000 and end up looking like you own a midrange phone.

          On other way i still spot people use their 5-6 years old Samsung or iPhone as their main daily phone.

                Japanese phones actually are closer to stock Android as they only skin their OS lightly. That's why they have great battery life.

                Amongst the Chinese, my bias is for Vivo. Although their FuntouchOS has plenty of room for improvement, it's a tad better than ColorOS and the dumpster HyperOS. Honor is another option, but their insistence in making magicOS to feel like iOS is really annoying.

Sony is not for me because of UI and design but i love their camera system. X200 pro and xiaomi 14 ultra are the ones caching my eye. But i know this for certain that i would not come back to samsung until they use SD chipset(on all regions) and at least 60w charging speed. This is 2025 and still im on 25w in a flagship killer!

                                that device is a DISASTER. E-waste!
                                Even people that got it for free (e.g paid by xiaomi) do not give recommendation for 14T!

                                Yes, I know there are few of you here praising that company (and several paid in other sites), but that is exactly the reason for those rants..misinformation and false info spreading instead of ack and solve the issues. GSMARENA do not test devices in real life scenario, they publish lab tests and few days clicking around. And of course they risk being sent to court if they publish negative stuff. And it seems Xiaomi and few other small asian vendors really put more effort in hiding issues, than actually solving them

                                  reguler iphone 16 is in the same segment as reguler S25.

                                  Objectively, i see S25 is better choice than reguler iPhone 16.

                                        Ofcourse many chinese phone user dont use their broken chinese phone anymore after 3 years, many of them then move to better brand like Samsung or iPhone.

                                        Some Samsung or iphone user may give their phone after 4 years to their spouses or kids, but their phones still get latest sofrware for another 3 years.
