11 January 2025
Long story short, there's a new chipset - and it will be a Snapdragon everywhere - plus things like more RAM for the S25 and a new ultra-wide camera for the S25 Ultra.

For anybody wondering, base S25 just like S24 and S23 will UFS 3.1 on 128gb, but UFS 4.0 on 256gb and above (UFS 4.0 doesn't exist in 128gb size)

Log Video recording... huge file sizes, but you don't have microSD to save it.

Take my mail. Alert me when they get a card slot, even if its on the top, most expensive model. Not buying this rubbish.

      Disappointing battery size

DarlingYext, 10 hours ago"TL;DR: Galaxy S24 series again, except this time with... moreI’m not gonna lie, as bad as this phone is, 600 is kinda too stingy here.

The main hardware highlight appears to be Qi2 support. Other than that, not worth the potential extra prices.

The R&D department of Samsung surely lives a nice, slow life. I envy them tbh. They don't need to innovate or research much from what we can see.

              Samsung is a disappoining company.
They make new image sensors with efficiency and picture & video quality improvement claims, yet they never use them in any of their smartphones. Why create them then?
I'd rather get an Oppo Find X8, or a OnePlus 13.

Samsung is just far behind (even in software).
Same old battery tech, same old cameras, same old design. All that's new is just the chipset and Android version.
Very disappointing to see that a hardware company doesn't even make use of what they create! Why make them then?

Will that log recording and audio erasure (and other new AI features) trickle down to the S24 or even older S models? That’s what people should be asking.

The good thing about this release is that the s24 ultra will be around 700 or less on ebay... And it will be exactly the same

                    S24 Ultra + Rounded Corners + Next Gen Chipset - S Pen without bluetooth = S25 Ultra.

                      S20 - 4,000mAh with 25W wired charging
                      S25 - 4,000mAh with 25W wired charging

                      nice evolution in 5 years...

What a shame....r they looking around in maket...now the phones have increased battery size....with same body ratio...atleast better selfie camera...just change in shape...7 yrs uodate and ai ...market the phone...

Chinese phones with the same body size has 5500+mah batteries in it and Samsung is still using 4000mah smh

Man I never noticed how unreliable GSMArena was until now. Seems like you guys are very biased with your fake info and sarcasm

"TL;DR: Galaxy S24 series again, except this time with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for all markets."

Well said, because that's basically what it is. A slightly faster version of an already fast enough phone, where speed wasn't the issue.

"This leaves the Samsung Galaxy S25 – its 6.2” display will stick to the 1080p+ resolution.."
"The battery is the same too, 4,000mAh with 25W wired charging.."
"..the base storage is said to remain the same at 128GB."

That resolution at such a small size is a non-issue, but the ultra small battery with ultra slow charging is getting ridiculous at this point, and so does UFS 3.1 storage at this point. The base S25 imo should be like $600 at max, it's basically a midrange phone with a flagship SoC.

How many full time staff did it take to photocopy the s24 and add a new chip? Incredible to think this is the work of an entire department over an entire year. Guess they all go home at 1 minute to 5pm!

                                  Overall, it's all the same.

                                  "For just $1299."
