162g, that is significant. Last year, only 2 smartphones achieved a weight that was the same or lower.
- Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ 4G at 162g too
- Sharp Aquos sense8 at 159g
https://m.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nYearMin=2024&nYearMax=2024&nWeightMax=165&sFormFactors=1&idOS=2
This even beats the Xperia 10 VI which was a very lightweight phone but also uses plastic for its entire body, while the Galaxy S25 will use aluminum and glass. That‘s an achievement and good news for everyone who prefers lighter phones. Your nagging about 25W charging won’t change that. I am happy Samsung regards the people who wish for more ergonomic phones.

Sam N8 808 owner, 8 hours agoCorrect. I read somewhere that to get UFS 4.0, you must hav... moreWell to summarise things-
*Base S Series is just Glorified Flagship killer, priced as Real flagship. It it basically what FE series should've been for FE prices.
*S+ series exist just to present S Ultra as better choice for its absurd prices.
*S Ultra is what Samsung wants to offer as Ultimate product considering their market position. Also explains why, they can get away with being inferior in overall hardware package compared to its peers.

"A new Audio Eraser feature will be available to remove noises from your videos."
Hmm, feels like Sony Xperia 1 II and their subsequent release feature's Intelligent Wind Filter Audio, except the differences that I may not know? We'll see.
And with this slow pace, I won't be surprised if Xperia 1 VII's non-main camera upgrade, RAM and base storage surpassed's S25 Ultra's base one because Samsung Galaxy's tech progress is even slower than Apple's with iPhone lately, like what the deck?

S25 to S24:
- New chip
- 12go of RAM(S24 has 12go in some regions)
- Thinner
- Camera rings
- 1mm slimmer bezels(lol)
- Bluetooth 5.4
S23 to S24
- New chip
- Slightly bigger with slightly bigger screen
- 100mah more battery
- Flat matte frame
- Slimmer bezels
- Brighter screen
- LTPO screen
- Improved fingerprint scanner
- 7 years firmware upgrades
- Armor aluminium 2.0
- 12go in some regions(all regions for S24+)
- QHD screen(S24+)
Atleast they tried with the S24(which was underwelming too) but the S25/S25+may just stand next to the Iphone 14 as least improved phone.

With UFS 2.0 of course, for $800.

Either way, no microsd card slot even though you do make those, right Samsung? Another year I skip and I'll keep skipping until they stop trying to sell me an iPhone.

justasmile, 8 hours agoI’m not gonna lie, as bad as this phone is, 600 is kinda to... moreIt's a Samsung S series flagship phone. How could it be both bad, but too cheap for $600? Plus I never said it was a bad phone, it's just not really a good one either, it's nothing special, basically like a flagship killer, which is why I said $600.

potato4k, 9 hours agoWill that log recording and audio erasure (and other new AI... moreProbably. At the very least to the S24 series.
There is absolutely no reason to buy S25 or S25+ when they are no differences with S24 and S24+ besides the chipset.

DarlingYext, 9 hours ago"TL;DR: Galaxy S24 series again, except this time with... moreCorrect. I read somewhere that to get UFS 4.0, you must have a decent capacity too like 256, 512GB or so.
But our dear Samsung believes their premium S-phone needs a 128GB base memory option.
How about a 32GB version too, in memory of old days, where you love to live, Sammy eh?
Its a midranger, probably will be priced like those Chinese flagships, Iqoos and all.

For anybody wondering, base S25 just like S24 and S23 will UFS 3.1 on 128gb, but UFS 4.0 on 256gb and above (UFS 4.0 doesn't exist in 128gb size)

Log Video recording... huge file sizes, but you don't have microSD to save it.
Take my mail. Alert me when they get a card slot, even if its on the top, most expensive model. Not buying this rubbish.

The main hardware highlight appears to be Qi2 support. Other than that, not worth the potential extra prices.

The R&D department of Samsung surely lives a nice, slow life. I envy them tbh. They don't need to innovate or research much from what we can see.

Samsung is a disappoining company.
They make new image sensors with efficiency and picture & video quality improvement claims, yet they never use them in any of their smartphones. Why create them then?
I'd rather get an Oppo Find X8, or a OnePlus 13.
Samsung is just far behind (even in software).
Same old battery tech, same old cameras, same old design. All that's new is just the chipset and Android version.
Very disappointing to see that a hardware company doesn't even make use of what they create! Why make them then?

Will that log recording and audio erasure (and other new AI features) trickle down to the S24 or even older S models? That’s what people should be asking.
