That being said glass back but plastic frame is a bit mean on Sammy's part, I mean if you're gonna include a glass back and ip67 why not spend a few extra dollars on a metal frame too.

"Not like you need 100 percent to make an emergency."

What emergency, who talked about anything like that here? Before I had any phone with any kind of super fast charging I used to charge overnight, which destroyed my batteries in less than a year. Ever since then I only use the original super fast chargers that come with the phone.

[deleted post]That big red cross is getting a lot of mileage. I guess expecting an intelligent response from "DarlingYext" is too much to expect. Don't Darling almost every midrange and entry level phone will have your precious metal frame and glass back In the next 5 years or so

Sd 6gen3 is like a massive downgrade especially for a phone that will cost around 32k which is about the price range for sd7gen3+ phones.

I wish this was the design of the new S25; it looks like an angular version of the Note 10, which was one of the best looking Samsungs ever made imo. I much prefer it to the leaked design of the S25, which seems to be a slightly updated iteration of the tired S24 design.

YourLocalPhoneCritic, 11 Jan 2025Many Chinese manufacturers are not using a one large batter... more"The manufacturers advertising crazy-wattages don't care about temperatures. They don't follow a safety-first approach."

They do, and they have plenty of certifications.

"In fact, they would love for your battery to get swollen so that they could sell you a new phone. "

Thank you for being so nice, just because I like better features on my expensive phones, anyways good thing that has never happened to me, a long time fast charging user.

"Many Chinese manufacturers are not using a one large battery cell design. Their batteries are often composed of two battery cells that are charged separately.."

Why does it matter how many batteries these phones have? They charge 3-4 times faster than any iPhone or Samsung phone and that's what matters.

Plus if you think about what you've just said, it basically means 2 fairly slow charging batteries, in the case of 80W, 40W each, which is slower than Samsung's 45W on paper, so why would that be suddenly extremely dangerous, but Samsung's 45W is perfectly safe?

potato4k, 11 Jan 2025Exactly. Been sayin mg this from the beginning as the Chine... more"But the gullible fanboys here keep believing the number on the paper instead."

Believing the number, really? No, I'm believing what I see, and it charges way faster than anything with 25W-45W, and that's what matters, after all it's advertised as fast charging and it truly is fast, as it should be. The original 80W charger that it came with, can easily charge my phone with a 5000mAh battery from 5% to 100% in 30 minutes and then last me a day, I've been using said phone for 1,5 years, battery is still in excellent condition, never charged it slower than 50W (and that was wireless).

Not everything has to be bad, that looks good on paper.

Chip, 10 Jan 2025They're copying Sony. The vertical camera bump looks more like Zfold 6 now

I honestly would not have minded slower 25 Watt charging on the A36. The 45 Watt charging in Samsung doesn't even reduce the charging time by much, as we saw with the M55. I would have preferred upgrades in other areas. Such as UFS 3.1 instead of 2.2 (still no word on this) and esim support for all markets instead of just a select few.

pl2rts, 11 Jan 2025So from your point of view it's ok that next step they... moreA screen is a dumb comparison because it's an essential part the phone however a 45w charger is not. I'm sure people can survive on a lower wattage charger until they buy a new one, it's not kill people to not have to eyes glued to their phone because they have to wait longer for their phone to charge. The cable but not the charger being included is dumb though, Samsung should at least have the decency to provide an el cheapo 15w charger.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2025Because hunny chargers like most things in life cost money.... moreSo from your point of view it's ok that next step they do is sell you a phone without a screen that you need to buy as extra to use the device ?

If the price would of being cut as like 50 euro for the missing charger then i can understand your point but it was not. They just took out features without cutting the price for it.

I dont get why they still add the cable in the box as people should have them already a lot so why have it in the box with the phone ?

The downer here is the SD6gen3, which is just a rebadged SD6gen1. Not a bad SoC per se, but was hoping that the A36 would get Exynos 1480 for a more significant upgrade over the 1380.
