Took a bit longer than I expected but Apple finally cemented itself as the undisputed leader of the market. What's more is, when you factor in the average sale price (ASP) of Apple as opposed to the other manufacturers, that fact becomes even more impressive. Apple essentially only sells flagships.
With the iPhone SE4 just around the corner and having a modern design, this will compound even further.

Well no surprise, mid range phones are pure overpriced garbage now and you can get iphone 13 for only 500 so no reason to get anything else.

Well make equal ground. I mean make that all phones from all brands are available in all 206 exxisting countries in world and i can honestly guarantee you the most seling brands will be the least selling because for 1/3 less in price or half the price many else chinese competitors can make same or even better device.

And again, any phone can survive for a decade, the problem is that phone manufacturers don't want it to, they all just nuke phones.

The S8 only came with 4 gb ram which even for the time was pretty low. The phone started to slow down after less than 2 years of using and by the time i upgraded, it had turned into an oven, heating up by doing literally anything but the S22 Ultra can go on for many more years. 12 gb ram is still a lot today when we still have phones releasing with 8 gb

Samsung is the best for me. Used a midranger for three years and it was working fine when I gave it as a gift. Now using a flagship runs absolutely fine. One UI 7 will make it even better.

Redmi K/Poco is still the best mid range phone series when it comes to price performance.

Both have long software support and pretty good UI/software.
You just made self imaginary competition of Samsung & Apple inside your head.
I use Samsung phone and Macbook pro, never have plan to use iPhone because i like using sideload apps/ mod apps. Also, i feel safer using Samsung because two official samsung xperience/service center are located close to my home.

In a lot of places the Pro Max is nearly 50% more expensive yet a large chunk of people go for it.

jiyen235, 14 Jan 2025crazy how despite making basically only flagships, Apple ST... moreThat is what is hard for most tech fans to comprehend, Apple not only takes the most sales of any device every single year but they also do it with the most expensive and powerful hardware. Contrast that with other smartphone manufactures that only sell their bottom tier entry level hardware in high numbers. Apple holds somewhere in the 75%+ range of "premium" smartphone sales, aka flagships. Samsung gets something like 16% "premium" sales market leaving all other brands to scrap for the last few percent of flagships. That is how they get to stay at the top of the food chain as richest company in the world.
