I AM AMAZING, 16 Jan 2025Actually, it's the JN5 ☝️🤓meh i think the differences between the JN1 and JN5 aren't huge enough to really mention so i just stick with calling em all JN1 but thanks for clarifying.

I guess bigger isn't always better.

jiyen235, 16 Jan 2025yeah it's better but it's still only an improveme... moreI don't think it's bad per say, it probably is better than jn1 up to and including in noise floor, it's just that there would be better options in similar sensors but bigger for flagship ultrawides and is better used in other places.

Add in the SUPER wide field of view of the camera and you get a recipe for disaster, at night.

jiyen235, 16 Jan 2025what's the difference? they seem to be the same size t... moreNo, ov50d is worse in several ways, including built-in isp. Ov50m also supports up to 14-bit raws through dual analog gain, has unbinned mode unlike ov50d, has more lane bandwidth and also has better autofocus.

vik457, 16 Jan 2025And why wasn't ov50m used instead of ov50d for ultrawide?what's the difference? they seem to be the same size to me, and that means both are pretty much trash imo (1/2.88" only) lmao

And why wasn't ov50m used instead of ov50d for ultrawide?

It would be nice to see a sample image from the periscope camera or at least the exif data.
