I will used 3 years in samsung galaxy f62. Front display side white lines are produced. 50 % display was closed with multiple lines. After consult the authorised service centre in guduvancheri and Tambaram. Display change cost was 8500 rs but mobile was not physical damages. This problem produced in after latest update. I am so disappointed. Why you send not properly developed updates. I strictly advised to people's are not buying samsung mobiles.

So, $200 per year vs $20 per protection glass replacement... I'll keep using screen protectors, thank you very much.

It will cost more just to keep this service active, bad investment.
Rather buy a under $100 device with 12 months subsrciption.

It's not a service, you don't get any service from paying monthly dues. You get a right to have FREE replacement. "

Yes, it's a choice but that doesn't mean it's free, you are paying because there is a chance that you might break your display, so as long as you don't actually damage the display, you aren't getting anything and essentially paying for nothing.

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2025People pay $ and expect $$$ device. You pay for oppo/vivo ... more"You pay for oppo/vivo devices and you expect them to be as good as Samsung devices?"

                What kinda question is that?

I don't expect them to be only "as good", I bought a vivo because that's what I wanted to buy, and for me it's better than any Samsung, this was my choice, where money didn't matter, only my needs did, and that's how I ended up with a 787 usd vivo, which could've easily gotten me a Galaxy as well, but I specifically didn't want one of those.

And because you want the highest model number in the range.
Not necessarily because you're smart. Predominantly, still because you're not poor. LOL

DarlingYext, 16 Jan 2025"2. There will be zero screen damage on Samsung phone.... more"If so, then why are they offering a monthly PAID* service that makes it "free" to replace damaged screens? Are they trying to get more money out of customers for no reason? I mean if their phones are so perfect, then this service is simply NOT NEEDED, and NO ONE should ever pay for it."

All cars, when you buy new, don't get into car accidents and have problems. The problem is when humans/customers interact with them. Just look at the youtubers who try their best to break devices.

"The article also literally shows *$8 - $18 that you'd have to pay for this service every month, thus making screen replacements essentially not free, and not $0."
It's not a service, you don't get any service from paying monthly dues. You get a right to have FREE replacement. You can choose not to pay, and end up paying $500 for screen replacement. You actually have a right to choose, no one is forcing anything on you.
Don't tell me that you think you're paying the doctors before you fall sick, just because you pay your insurance monthly?

That's right, they and Toyota sell the most cars worldwide, but people enjoy Ferrari. So here too. Enjoy your Samsung Prius. 🤣🤣🤣

[deleted post]No because Oneplus doesnt use Samsung screens anymore.
At first it was the sumplier problem not Oneplus problem.
New BOE screens dont have that issue and they are far better and far more priemium than ones made by Samsung.
All phones and brands using Samsung screens had that greeny issue.
