there already proved that phones with smaller batteries like iphone can be efficient and last as long as phone with more bigger battery mah

this few days ago article also another example :
https://www.gsmarena.com/poco_x7_pro_battery_life_test_is_now_ready-news-66078.php
a 4310mah motorola edge 50neo last almost a hour more than 6000mah pocox7pro

software can make big different
and also samsung said using more energy efficient ram s25(ultra), combined with SD8elite

Thank you Samsung for making it easy to choose a OnePlus 13

Sounds like the most boring flagship upgrade from samsung in years..
At this rate and as a S23U user, I see no point in upgrading until maybe the S27U

That's false, a battery that wouldn't fit in a phone if being pressed on would make it explode right there at the factory. it was a physical design flaw, they made the battery fit flush with the housing and didn't give it room to expand, when the batteries expanded with use they would pierce and explode. Not oversized battery.

5000mah is nowhere near enough, especially in the long run, when the battery degrades. & years of software support, what will become of 5000mah in 7 years of usage?

Batters lasts day and a half with heavy use, s24 ultra .You should see the pictures when I cast them on my lg g4 oled 65'' screen . Spectacular . Price is a problem for really poor people . It seems as though the flagships by the "most popular" in the West ie Samsung S series and Apple iPhone have seriously stagnated; barely moved the needle with hardware updates; instead they're trying to flannel the consumer with AI.

Bobi7x7 , 16 Jan 2025For this case Samsung has a nice feature charging stops whe... moreSure, but it's still easier and more convenient to just plug the phone in for 20-30 minutes, get a full charge, and unplug it and be done with it and be ready for the next day. Not to mention that you can charge any phone slowly overnight, even if said device supports 80W-200W charging speeds, but you can't charge a phone faster than 25W-45W if it only supports such speeds. You can choose to not charge fast even if it's possible, but you can't decide to charge faster if such speeds aren't supported.

Samsung's S and Z series are among the most expensive phones, at such prices they should include the best possible features, and let the user decide whether or not they want to use them.

No. Better pay attention is what I would tell them. You may or may not know, but the Note 7's battery had an issue with size, not battery capacity, or fast charging, it had nothing to do with either of those factors. Samsung's battery supplier made a mistake, and sent Samsung batteries that didn't actually fit into the phone perfectly, which then wasn't checked by Samsung and thus it had issues.

And as no... moreYes, 5000mAh is enough, but from phones as expensive as the S series I'd expect more, it shouldn't be about being enough, it should be about being the best, and 5000mAh is nowhere near the best anymore. Plus even if a person has no need for a 6000-7000mAh battery right now, a phone with such capacity will simply last longer than a phone with a smaller battery.

I use fast chargers, because I found that overnight slow charging is the worst for batteries. I only charge my phone at the end of the day, first I turn on AirPlane Mode, then plug the phone in, and once it hits 100% I put it away, start the day with 100%. I don't use my phone while it's charging.
