Foldables being thin is not impressive
When you can cram the whole interior inside a normal phone with that thickness, then i'd be impressed and no the S25 Slim and 17 Air aren't impressing

This is such a nice tribute to Oppo R5 from 10 years ago, which is the thinnest consumer product the company has yet produced and by far the second thinnest slate-type smartphone in the world to date. I assume that it *will* have thermal throttling issues despite using the binned version of SD 8 Elite, but it's nice that we will now have a foldable tablet that is more portable than most slate smartphones in the market as an option.

It doesn't sound like most users would notice the difference between 8 &7 cores:
"What does this mean for users? You probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference for most day-to-day tasks. It might affect apps or users who require maxed-out performance, but the difference is probably negligible for the average smartphone user."

I AM AMAZING, 6 hours agoThe 7-core 8 Elite is designed for foldables. makes sense considering the thinness that these companies are chasing now but still, they should put in the 8 cores and throttle it down hard if needed. A cut down flagship chip for 1800 dollars doesn't sound that nice to me or there should be 2 tiers of foldables, one that has 7 cores and another that has 8 cores.

Huawei and Oppo are setting the benchmark for everyone to follow. I guess the next step requires a smaller wired port than USB-C so they can make it even thinner (Micro USB-C?) or eliminate the wired port altogether and just have fast wireless charging.
