AnonD-1187531, 20 Jan 2025The 7-core 8 Elite is designed for foldables. makes sense considering the thinness that these companies are chasing now but still, they should put in the 8 cores and throttle it down hard if needed. A cut down flagship chip for 1800 dollars doesn't sound that nice to me or there should be 2 tiers of foldables, one that has 7 cores and another that has 8 cores.

Huawei and Oppo are setting the benchmark for everyone to follow. I guess the next step requires a smaller wired port than USB-C so they can make it even thinner (Micro USB-C?) or eliminate the wired port altogether and just have fast wireless charging.
