    It's the result of Netflix being a shareholder company in a capitalistic market, which expects to continuously grow year over year as if time, people's money and resources were infinite and such never-ending growth was perpetually sustainable.
    Did you notice whom Netflix released this news to? User? No. Regulators? No. Markets? No.
    Shareholders. They're the ones most important to this company. They invested money and expect a return. They don't care about you, me, content, fair price or anything, for that matter. The only thing they care about is infinite growth to ensure shareholders get their part of the cake and keep their invested money in Netflix's account. The only thing that matters is happy shareholders and CEOs taking tens of millions of dollars in salaries each year when they can back it up by company's success, only to fire employees left and right when the going gets tough, never directly being responsible for any negative effects whatsoever.

    This is modern capitalism. Not false information.

      Sure, one may choose to not buy these plans and miss out on the shows and movies. But this doesn't makes them broke or thieves.

        i don't understand why people bother. of the shows this streamer has had that i liked they canned all 3. i'll stick with free tv, at least when a show gets canned i haven't wasted a subscription fee on it.

          Then they wonder why i still pirate things...

              DashF, 22 Jan 2025I just prefer the watching in a local media player, I use a... moreSame. I just try finding the movie online, download it and watch it on VLC. Oh and just in case you ask how i download movies when there's no button to download it, some download managers (like 1DM) get the audio/video file for you to download, and there's also the hold and download method.

It's much easier to up/down brightness, increase speed temporarily by long tapping or skipping few seconds

                  If it's a success, there's no idea of raising price. False title and information.

                    But sadly, the subscriber count is not coming down and hence the price increase.

                      And this is why markets need to be heavily regulated. The cost of Netflix almost tripling and for no actual reason but greed.

                          Firstly they said there is importance to rise prices cause of shared passwords. Now they saw big customer increase, so what is a reason to rising prices again? Obviously greedy.

                                  There would probably be a point in time netflix would charge the same amount of money as an average console game. Not lifetime, but per month.
