Samsung used to use "Edge" name for curved screen variants. does it stand for slim profile now? actually, samsung have been releasing the slimmest flagships on the market for many years. so, thickness was never an issue. I don't understand going in a slimmer profile rather than packing a bigger battery and camera sensors in the same thickness.

DarlingYext, 22 Jan 2025Different than usual Samsung, because it looks almost exact... moreIf you consider the camera bump the entire design of a phone, it’s similar. But if you knew that a phone design is made of more than a camera bump (which you obviously don’t because you don’t understand what advantages a thinner and lighter phone even brings), then you‘d recognize this is a thinner S25+ with a Z Fold 6 camera bump with one less camera and the flash placed in that bump instead.

This phone isn't impressive at all

Motorola, in 2016 launched a phone that was 5.2 mm thin and had an aluminium frame and back, a dual camera setup, QHD display and a flash for the front cam as well. There was also a magnetic port on the back, for attaching accessories. The tray had an SD slot as well. All this while being 5.2 mm thin

And here, samsung thinks they unveiled something so special LOL

motorola launched a 5.2 mm phone with a dual camera setup and all aluminium body all the way back in 2016. So this edge galaxy slim whatever, isn't really impressive

S25 Edge camera island looks ugly

Biggest gimmick yet that actually took functionality away from the usability of the screen. I'll never have a curved screen phone again.

They moved on to some other brand bottom-of-the-barrel entry level e-waste, for the looks of their latest and greatest flat screen Galaxy Edge !!! C'mon, what's not to like ?

It looks almost exactly like the Xperia 5 V to me. Take a look at that phone's pics. Just shift the flash module below the cam and bam, you get this phone. And due to the camera island, the phone also reminds me of the iPhone 16 a little. Really shady stuff. If a Chinese phone did this scamsung fanboys would be up in arms but this'll be touted as a generation defining design by them somehow, just you wait.

I think this model will let user using esim only and the power charging port will gone, they will using wireless charging only.
