Well, I live in Chile and here the N°1 in market share is Android (like in every other country I guess). Then comes the iOS in the second place and WP third.

After some Android phones, I'm actually using a Lumia 920, and believe me: it fits better the way I use my phone. It really shines when it comes to read mails from work, especially when it have some tables inserted. Same thing for viewing and editing Office documents. And not to mention the XBox integration...

Android is really a good OS and I used it for a very long time. But now, I'm pretty sure that I will not buy another phone if it doesn't have the Windows Phone OS.

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2013Android OS never lagged, It worked fine on dual cores as I ... morelol my dual core Galaxy S2 is laggy compares to my Lumia 900 with single core. SGS2 has random stutters out of no where, it's like the OS trying to do a defrag while you're using the device. I was happy that I switched from dual core Galaxy S2 to single core Lumia 900. Software optimization is extremely important when it comes to smoothness.

IF you wanna go there (if you even understood what you said) believe me, Google would be the last thing to underestimate when it comes to money, influence, monopolistic politics and tendencies, power and manipulation. So, again, do your homework and stop talking from behalf of an entire country. I is childish and i can bet there are thousends that will be glad to contradict you;).

[deleted post]This comment has been posted one more time under the nickname of ”droopy”. Apparently gsmarena has to do something with this troll machines (like blocking their cointry?>:)), and to start taking down spamm crapp lunched in every Nokia third. This kind of spamm tends to look like a payed one or, if not, it has to be posted by a small kid having nothing better to do but showing his love for it's 50 dollars android phone, thinking that's the only good thing world has. His next phone (no matter what os or brand will be) will be the next best thing he will have. Either of those, gsmarena you should keep the kids out to. As to answer to your illogical comment.... Make a one month study of your streets, look what phones people have. Eating on the street, sleeping on the street. After that one month of dicovering of what mobile phones are used mostly and what others come to second and third place, then come here and talk. Not that people will believe you, but some, might believe that your city has what you say. Now, to talk from behalf of your country? Get a clue, and then get some sport. Your phone might be the fault of your ignorance;).

I have not used any android phone with a stock ROM that lags. Not even HTC dream with android 1.6 My brother uses iPhone 4s and it freezes every now and then of which he has to go n flash the phone b4 he can use it again. I have tried WP twice, its great compared to iPhone OS but comparing to Google Android, WP is way behind. Sometimes we have to be real and face reality and not be blinded fanatics. I love open source softwares because I love customizations which Android offers that perfectly. my HTC one x currently runs custom android 4.3 which is great....... Why would world manufacturing giants such as HTC, Samsung, Sony, LG n co all choose android. Android Rules...

Nokia Lumia 920, iPhone 5, both dual cores did perfectly fine and faster then S2 in all aspects.

Any dual core phones for android release now will be accused of being laggy and lousy, even by android fanboys.

I have latest the version of android ,4.1.1 and i have never noticed a lag.

And the quad/octa core is not just for the OS, but to support power intensive tasks like hd games, app, web browsing etc. Its a resource that aids in faster processing.

just check out phone specs, same version of android can be found running in a dual core, quad core or octa core devices.

Regarding WP phones, am afraid it still hasnt got what it takes to even think of overtaking android. A super cool camera is not all, that a customer wants. U know their previous devices failed not coz of hw but sw (Symbian)

(PS: Am not an android fanboy, i used to be a nokia fan and i still love their hardware quality. but cant ignore the reality for brand loyalty)

All companies should always push the boundaries with processors, RAM, etc. to stay ahead of the game, else you will crash fast, see what happened to Blackberry. They never upgraded their hardware because OS was working fine, but they still were knocked off there pedestal. If Apple continues bringing out dual core phones even if no lag on OS, they will follow Blackberry. Apple has lost so much market share already that only US holding them up and hence why they bring a budget phone now.
