I'm sure it's technically doable, but since it involves creating a new partition on a system level, it might probably have to delete user data, which Samsung would probably not do to avoid consumer complaints.

Can this be brought to the S24 series via an update or is it hardware based?

Secondly, there's "round corners and hide notch"

justasmile, 6 hours agoYes, with third party. And who would do that anyway?I don't like punch hole display, I'm currently using OP7TPRO and as you know it has full screen without punch hole camera

Does it have option in settings like xiaomi and Motorola (in developer options)?
If it's not in settings of nothing ui then which 3rd party is best?

Seamless updates are the most useless thing to ever exist.
Overnight update is better than wasting gigabytes of flash memory.
Android occupies 21GB on my 128GB Moto Edge 30 Fusion, pretty sure the OS can be fit under 10GB easily. More space for my stuff like photos etc.

another useless feature which takes a few gigabytes of the flash memory and leaves less space for the userdata partition

You're everywhere of Samsung commenting the same thing even if it's not related at all
If it really is so much of a problem, why do we not hear about it often? I have used 3 OLED-type display Samsung phones in the past 12 years and my current phone is 4 years old, had quite a few major updates but I never experienced green line issues

My Nothing Phone 2 had this all this time, heh

How about: updates that don't make you wish you have resetted the phone after you impemented them! All this pdate with factory reset is so far a scam!

I have this feature in my 3 year old $400 Realme GT2.

I hate Samsung for their display issue. It is pretty much guaranteed you will have green line within 2 years time period and they will not take any responsibility's.
