justasmile, 24 Jan 2025My Nothing Phone 2 had this all this time, hehCan we hide punch hole camera on nothing like there is an option to hide notch in xiaomi phones?

You're everywhere of Samsung commenting the same thing even if it's not related at all
If it really is so much of a problem, why do we not hear about it often? I have used 3 OLED-type display Samsung phones in the past 12 years and my current phone is 4 years old, had quite a few major updates but I never experienced green line issues

My Nothing Phone 2 had this all this time, heh

How about: updates that don't make you wish you have resetted the phone after you impemented them! All this pdate with factory reset is so far a scam!

I have this feature in my 3 year old $400 Realme GT2.

I hate Samsung for their display issue. It is pretty much guaranteed you will have green line within 2 years time period and they will not take any responsibility's.

[deleted post]Definitely never. Technically partitions can be enabled anytime though it needs to wipe all data, but corporations will tell you it can't be done because of unrelated reasons and refuse to enable it on older phones.

SShock, 23 Jan 2025So, when is this coming to Galaxy S23 Ultra? Probably never... moreWhy would they? Just buy their new phones & be happy! 👍

SShock, 23 Jan 2025So, when is this coming to Galaxy S23 Ultra? Probably never... moreYou're out of luck, sorry.

"A/B partitions have to be set up from the factory and can't be added later through firmware updates."

                          - via SamMobile

So, when is this coming to Galaxy S23 Ultra? Probably never because it's for some reason exclusive to S25 because "reasons". I have 512GB of storage, just enable the damn thing ffs.

That's funny wiht OneUI 6.1 and with OneUI 5.x I was able to use my phone during the update download too.

Delta updates will allow installation and end user use - BUT full major installs such as a kernel update no I don't believe this works.
