potato4k, 24 Jan 2025Meh who cares. Most people are charging their phones overni... moreWho is "most people"? It's just you and your pathetically slow charging iPhone, Samsung, Google or Sony.
Rest gives 45W even to 100 eur devices.
And 80-125W to flagships.
Samsung with 25W for 1000 bucks sounds like buying a Ferrari but steam powered.

"The Galaxy S25 Edge has a 3,900mAh battery (3,786mAh rated capacity), and that information was spotted (via Abhishek Yadav) in the China Quality Certification (CQC) database. It was also revealed that the phone has 25W fast wired charging, similar to that of the Galaxy S25."

an easy way to speed up charging is reducing the battery capacity. 3500mah s25edge might need the least time to top up despite 25w :)

[deleted post]Holy yappatronica i barely understand this post. As a guy using an e-waste with 15w, i'm alright with it, and you probably should be (unless yous an impatient dude) and i get that fast charging is good, charges your phone very fast, obviously, but sometimes fast charging can have its own problems too.
Also, you're facing DarlingYext, one of (if not) the most experienced users on GSMA, you're in a David and Goliath situation.
Call me my nick whatever you want, at least i admit to being La Fone Dumbo and at least i don't make essay long posts (this might be my longest one yet).

[deleted post]Why post your comment again if it already got removed once? What do you think, was that an accident? Your comments are completely incomprehensible, they are always just a bunch of random words.
"You're asking me to prove the laws of physics exist so there you have it."
No, I'm not and I never did. I asked you to prove my comment wrong, but it seems like you can't, I got it. That's only because fast charging is clearly the better option, as opposed to slow charging.

It does, for a short time period I owned a Galaxy Note 10+, and my 180W Infinix charger was able to charge it with 45W.

Not a relevant point for this phone, but even Samsung breaks USB-PD specifications. The only ones that don't are Apple and Google, neither of which are any great with charging speeds anyway.

LOL. Did they hire Steve Balmer to run Samsung into the ground like he did Nokia. They need a new mobile chief. Maybe bring back DJ Koh.

Goated Sigma, 24 Jan 2025"Sold without adapter" ☹️Samsung follows USB-PD standard anyway, so easier to find chargers and supported cables, unlike the Chinese who slows down to measly 5W simply because you use a different Chinese OEM cable.

Goated Sigma, 24 Jan 2025To be fair tho, fast charging causes some heat (especially ... moreAny charging speed causes heat, so the less time your phone spends while being hot, the better for its battery, thus fast charging is simply the better solution. Plus you don't have to use fast charging if you don't want to, but if a phone's charging speed is limited to something slow, like 20W-25W, you CAN'T charge it faster even if you wanted to.
This phone is going to be expensive, like the rest of the S series, they shouldn't be offering midrange features at premium prices, they should give the users the choice whether they want to fast charge or not.

I have no doubt Xiaomi or Oppo would be able to make a device this thin with 60w and 5000mah.
