AnonD-1187531, 24 Jan 2025To be fair tho, fast charging causes some heat (especially ... moreAny charging speed causes heat, so the less time your phone spends while being hot, the better for its battery, thus fast charging is simply the better solution. Plus you don't have to use fast charging if you don't want to, but if a phone's charging speed is limited to something slow, like 20W-25W, you CAN'T charge it faster even if you wanted to.
This phone is going to be expensive, like the rest of the S series, they shouldn't be offering midrange features at premium prices, they should give the users the choice whether they want to fast charge or not.

I have no doubt Xiaomi or Oppo would be able to make a device this thin with 60w and 5000mah.

More expensive than the S25+ but with a much smaller battery. And a 6.6” screen. Why make it thin and light if it’s plugged into the charger 3 times a day!

My trimmer from 2020 charges with the same speed and i changed the battery 3 times so any corelation with the battery health is out the window, but of course this is samsung flagship from 2025 not the trimmer !

they were limiting their "thicc" phones to 25w charging speed for a very long time, why would they give the "edge" to their new and thin phone?

Anonymous, 24 Jan 2025Who is "most people"? It's just you and you... moreI charge my Samsung A52s only once or twice per day, usually in the morning when I go to the toilet for 20 minutes. The other time is shower time at night, around 15-20 mins. I don't feel any need to have very fast charging.
(And I usually only charge to 80%)

"The S25 Edge (SM-S9370) will feature 25W max charging speeds per the listing."
Who would've thought. What an absolute joke, Samsung and their Ultra Slow charging technology.

sdkk, 24 Jan 2025On the EDGE of the back of the list of fast charging phones. To be fair tho, fast charging causes some heat (especially above the 18w mark). So I'll take the 25W.
45W in such a thin body would fry eggs. 🔥
