Never ming the pointless Ultra, give us a proper compact. And whilst you're at it, how about a decent Wifi 6/7 router with SIM card and VoIP ports?

    With nothing setting it apart, I see no reason to buy one from Asus.
    And why call it ULTRA when there's no non ultra version? Because you know a few extra words?

            No Sd Card slot, Asus has fallen for 4 years, more and more garbage phone with no humanly usable product.

I can't find the nearest one that Sony copied blatantly from the current sad state of smartphone industry. Sony still have same consistent , identity-definer, signature, boxy, industrial design of Xperia that seen since 2013 with Xperia Z despite had to sacrifice 21:9 signature design, then 2-stage button, an elliptical/oval camera design setup, no-notch display, Front-Firing Stereo Speakers, MicroSDXC card slot, better camera output and a full-fledge manual controls on both photos and camera despite consolidating the camera apps into one and making more "iPhone-friendly", the OS update is slightly better (although it could be more due to current EU regulations to enforced manufacturers to give 5 years of updates), side-mounted fingerprint sensor as of Xperia 1 VI, although still unsure how 1 VII will look like though, but I do still hope 1 VIi retains what Sony's established design for 12 years.

                Seriously, what holds them to make a compact midrange phone with at least 7 Gen 3 on it? Their Max Pro series used to sold well, and pretty sure their compact phones still sold more than those Zenfone Ultra whatever phones. But no, they're just keep shooting their foots, lol.

The design has been quite consistent and the have something they're focusing on: camera with highly tunable setting. Unfortunately, it makes them a niche device that are uninteresting for most users.

                  Asus zenfone, on the other hands, doesn't have anything that stands out.

                                    Crummy cameras. 2 years of updates, no sources, no way to unlock bootloader and way overpriced.

                                    Asus, just give up and stop producing phones. You had your chance and you just blew it (by removing features, removing support, removing repair parts availability and jacking up the price). Zenfone 6 was the last great phone you ever produced.

                                      Make one good design, use it for 4 years, increase the OS updates, keep price same


                                      Meanwhile Asus:

                                      *Downgrade to a worse design, decrease the battery size, recycle the inferior design for years, reatin below average OS updates policy and price keeps increasing every generation* 🤡
