I'm telling you, Samsung are preparing to remove the S Pen completely. This is a strategy of stripping away features and removing the Note line.

        Big mistake Samsung.

This was an advanced feature that would have taken a decade to catch on.

But once it catches on it will be impossible to live without.

This is so short sighted. At least offer a compatible SPen for the 25 series with the old features.

I use it and its a shame Samsung removed the BT funtion. I feel Samsung is charging more money now but offers less features.

I have a smartwatch, which is a better remote control. So, since if figured that out, I haven't used the S Pen as a remote. I guess, that is the same data Samsung sees.

Pythoglyphs, 02 Feb 2025Does Samsung really expect the majority to be "power u... morethe samsung of the past kept and developed features that only 0.1% of people used. This function that they're saying that not many people are using, still equates to around 150k people. When they developed this feature im pretty sure the 1% equated to a far smaller number. As a result you can easily conclude that Samsung themselves used to be so daring that they made additional features for less than 1% of its consumer base.

And now they take it away to save costs. What a fall from grace.

Invetor, 02 Feb 2025I believe you can still do that they removed the Bluetoo... moreyeah but being able to randomly bring up the notes at the press of a button? That's an incredibly convenient feature that's helped me a handful of times. THAT'S why one pays an Ultra price, not because these ultras magically have a feature that's perfect and only exclusive to them that you use 100% of the time, but because they have niche features which help you 1-2% of the times, these little features all add up and create a nice experience in the end.

The S-Pen is a niche feature of an already niche phone with an outrageous pricing (that keeps increasing each year). All the more reason Samsung should always bring improvement to it. Tweak the design so its is more comfortable to hold, increase the pressure sensitivity, decrease the drawing lag, add bluetooth and use it as camera shutter, add accelerometer for air gestures, add laser pointer for presentation, add tilt sensor, add some sensor to the other end of the pen so we can use it to erase text just like traditional pencil, etc.

Yes, and I'm going to use it again on s25u, in summer when the pen is enabled with brand new features and old ones.

With Galaxy Note's9 S-Pen signature features and capabilities is now gone and being stripped down to Galaxy Note8's capabilities instead in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it's better to purchase either the previous Galaxy S24U/23U at lower price or secondary handed or purchase Motorola Moto G Stylus (2024), because removing Bluetooth capabilities on S-Pen is just ashamed and made S25 Ultra feels... cheap for its exorbitant pricetag 🙃😮‍💨

David 040882, 02 Feb 2025Regardless if people use it a lot or not, I think we can al... moreTo save cost. 8 elite is expensive, so to keep margins up they removed Bluetooth from the stick and made sure you get no upgrades, oh sorry you got budget 50mp ultra wide, forgot to mention 🤣

How is using air gestures better? Using the S Pen to write notes is easy to understand that it's useful, though, because it's obviously better than writing notes by using your finger.

justasmile, 02 Feb 2025I mean, yeah. Businesses exist for a reason - to earn money. You can earn money and NOT fool your customer base at the same time as well, Samsung just doesn't seem to be a fan of that, they have to do both at the same time.

justasmile, 02 Feb 2025No? Still supports pressure and tilt sensing. So just like any 3rd party app pen. It still has been nerfed substantially.
