Anonymous, 01 Feb 2025I appreciate your joke. But even without taking your ad... moreWe doubt those 40.million people purchased those phones at the prices they have launched. Plus in countries like america, samsung has almost no good competition from other android makers. This has been helping samsung a lot.

PomPomLover, 01 Feb 2025Now we're talking, Xiaomi 15 gonna lose customers real... moreXiaomi sold out Xiaomi 14 Ultra in India. Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be launched in India as well. It's just India won't be getting Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra. India will be getting Xiaomi 15 Civi as well.

jiyen235, 01 Feb 2025If this phone comes with a 512 GB Model for 900 dollars thi... moreThey are hardly doing any cost cutting. Vivo X200 Ultra will be phone of the year with new V4 chip and new sensors and snapdragon 8 Elite. It won't be beaten unless and until Pura 80 Ultra does something extraordinary in post processing. I like both though.

jiyen235, 01 Feb 2025No. The naming scheme makes sense. It's a "Mini&q... moreYeah, it's more like a standard variant than a pro variant in my opinion. USB 2.0, short focal optical fingerprint scanner (at least don't give a short focal one if choosing optical), the V2 ISP. Software cuts in the camera features too. The price though sits between the standard variant and pro variants so maybe it's understandable to a certain extent. Paying a premium for the size really. More expensive than the Oneplus 13 which has better hardware apart from the main camera sensor and that's not a pro phone

jiyen235, 01 Feb 2025the main issue with bigger phones, imo at least, isn't... moreWell even to have like 60mm wide my thumb would not reach from bottom of the screen to top without moving the phone in my hand. And i dont have short fingers as i am more then average tall person. Never mind that i dont have the skill to use phone one handed for like past 7-8 years already

jiyen235, 01 Feb 2025how are these people tech illiterate? What does it even mea... moreSo for example:
They won't point worse snr, sharpening, color accuracy, dr and lens artifacts.
They'll gloss over throttling while not even being that cold.
They'll gloss over calibration, sustained brightness, gradient handling, hdr support.
They'll gloss over flaws of speakers and lack of bluetooth codec support.
They'll gloss over virtual and physical sensors.
They won't point out flaws of vibration motors.
They'll gloss over problems that crop up over time.
They won't delve deeper into more rare features.
Endurance tests may be tailored in certain ways that favors them, for example camera recording at the end.
And so on.

sloomy, 01 Feb 2025Small? S24 is 6.2 inches and a Pixel 8a is 6.1in. So alread... moreIt's because this phone having a much smaller and symmetrical bezel, the pixel 9 pro are on fact bigger bulkier and heavier 199g while this x200 mini is around 185g
While with s25 despite having a smaller screen their body size is actually comparable vivo only slightly taller by 3mm
We're not even comparing their specs, hardware wise x200 mini crushed both s25 and pixel 9 pro by a long shot, they're still using 4000mah, and the camera isn't even close to that of the x200 mini

What does it even mean to be tech literate nowadays when reviewers left and right praise Samsung and keep handing them awards? What should a normal person do then? Shady times we live in, my dude. I can't blame the normal folks anymore when these supposed "experts" who are supposed to guide them to a good product, just show em the worst products and call it a day because "it's safe".

DBS, 01 Feb 2025It's basically false advertising to try to mislead peo... moreNo. The naming scheme makes sense. It's a "Mini" X200 Pro. I don't think you can get clearer than that. It shares the same chip, main cam and UW cam and the battery is close enough in size as well, the display is the same res too. The concessions in the ISP make me question the "Pro" tag but apart from enthusiasts, no one would notice the changes that would've made. I don't understand why people are so up in arms over this phone as if they're forced to buy it or they're misleading people. The specs are public and anyone can see it. This is not a scam.
You wanna know what a real scam is? What Honor's doing with the Magic7 Pro. Advertising it as a 3x telephoto cam when it's not that. It advertises itself as a 72 mm 3x lens but in reality it's 60 mm 2.5x lens. Even on GSMArena's spec sheet it shows up as 3x and 72 mm but ONLY in the review is it called out for its native focal length. I am yet to see anyone else talk about this difference.

pl2rts, 01 Feb 20255 inch 16:9 phones had like 10-15mm bezel on top and bottom... morethe main issue with bigger phones, imo at least, isn't height but rather width. 67-70 mm is the sweet spot for one handed use. The 5.5" S7 Edge for example was 72.6 mm compared to the X200 Pro Mini's 71.8 mm, so this phone should be even easier to handle than that phone. Only with the base S7 would you have gotten a less wide screen, at 69.6 mm but like, it's a 5" display lol, it's way too small.

DarlingYext, 01 Feb 2025It's smaller than the average phone is, so what would ... moreimo the perfect mini is 6-6.1". With current day bezels we'd have a really nice experience with phones like that. The iPhone 15 Pro for example had excellent dimensions. I'm not complaining about the naming scheme btw, just giving an idea of the "perfect" mini/small phone. Ofc the best mini size is 5.8" but imo that'd be too small. 6-6.1" would be the perfect middle ground.

I'm very pleased that an international version may be in the works.
However, it is very disappointing that, despite his pro name, he remains below vanilla in some of his specifications, especially that the proprietary ISP is based on the old V2.

For me it is in fact a compact phone. It is smaller than my old LG V40 which I always felt it was a medium to small device. Would have appreciated if it was as small as a Galaxy S23 though.

Ah, the X200 Pro mini, the phone that makes the S25 look like a midrange phone.🤭
