Having the headphone jack is all good and all but it's still a giant tower, make it smaller and add micro SD god damn it Asus!

The realistic price of this shouldn't be more than $600, especially because it's likely not going to see more than 2 years of OS updates, when everyone else gives at least 4 nowadays.

The name has no effect on the actual phone. In Europe it is priced at 1000 euro or less that would be ok and that was the pricing for the predecessor. This is not 'ultra pricing' from other brands. Look at Vivo and Xiaomi for example. They priced their standard models (Vivo x200 and Xiaomi 14) at 1000 euro for the base 12gb 256gb models in Europe. Samsung is a little cheaper than Vivo and Xiaomi in Europe with the S25 but still close to 1000 euro without the pre-order deals. So basically for Europe pricing of 1,000 euro or less would be in line with most other brands for the specs on offer. Realistically though I think Asus is mainly releasing this for it's home market of Taiwan where they have more brand appeal. Their main business is still motherboards, followed by laptops.

          I bought the ZF10 purely because it had the headphone jack. Can't say I particularly love the size, even for the physical size of the phone the screen is frustratingly small.

          The main problem I had with the ZF11 Ultra was that if it wasn't for having a headphone jack I wouldn't even have looked at it once. It was the only benefit it had over the OnePlus 12 and Samsung S24+ in a similar-ish price range, it had a worse screen and worse software support than both. This looks like it's about to have exactly the same problem. Wasn't even bothered by the lack of SD card because I keep having constant failures, I'd rather use the USB port to just plug an SSD into it if somehow 512GB isn't enough.

          My biggest concern is the Sony 1 VI was in the same boat last year, there's no way something that's the same price as the S24 Ultra shouldn't have a 1080p screen or that bad software lifetime.

          I think I'll be keeping an eye on the Nothing Phone 3, but that's only because of their really vague teasers seemingly depicting a headphone jack, I wouldn't even be looking at it otherwise. Which is a shame because I've heard good thing about their software.

                Disgusted by an old school PC manufacturer omitting removable storage still. Gamer looking to buy something high-end but ASUS doesn't want the money.

                Headphone Jack is 1 of 2 requirements but not enough, 2TB micro SDs exist now, where is the SD card reader?

                Not even on their ROG phones, (truly) baffling so I guess I'm not surprised but continue to be disappointed. Love to give you my money ASUS but you won't get it like this.

Furthermore, they are not interested in this brand carrying it, they want brands like Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi to have it so they don't buy it and continue crying.

                            They should have continued with their old unique lineup instead of trying to cater a larger audience. They made Rogs more mainstram losing their niche audience, they abandoned compact 9,10 etc losing their compact phone audience just when the compact phone scene was blooming again and then failed to attract the guys who were going for the galaxy ultras and iphone pros because let's be honest, they weren't going to.

                            It is such a shame really. They abandoned something they were good at and became mediocre among others.

                              See later Nothing 3 comes out it will destroy this phone.. One of the non-Chinese brands that is currently on the rise.
