Is this one of those rare instances when last year's model is better than the new one?

What a sad thing that can be said about a $1300+ phone, that is supposed to be the best of the best.

    The new camera improvements aren't even all that tangible. You can feel some things changing but you couldn't have guessed that it was a whole different phone with a different ISP, if you showed samples from an S24U and an S25U to someone they'd think they're from the same phone, just photo to photo variation.

Samsung delivered fast updates post s23 launch till the s24 launch and now they're slowing down. I said this before as I know how greedy and shady companies can be but fanboys defended that.

        for the fanboys Samsung taking their time with the software means they're perfecting it, but if other brands do it they're all scams and should not be trusted/bought. Literally worse than the Apple hivemind.

              It's a calculated move. trying to make the S25 seem like the only way to get the latest AI software (It is a familiar marketing trick that we're aware of, but the everyday user might not catch on)

              Just wait while they squeeze every last penny out of the new models, you will get your One UI 7...eventually

                Very good comparison of which I share the conclusions. I will not change my S24 Ultra for the new S25 Ultra, the improvements are too insignificant, I will wait for the S26 Ultra. I was ready to buy the new model, but it would just be like throwing money out the window.

                      This is a good take. S25 Ultra is not bad it's just so similar to last year and so few upgrades that you can't get excited enough to buy it..plus the development cost must be nothing with the stuck on camera surrounds. So you'd think at least they'd make it cheaper if they can't be bothered to do meaningful improvements.

                                They redid the calls test, they probably knew it was fluke when other two were nowhere near that per-capacity.

                                        How do you know that it's Grade 5 Titanium? When Samsung themself didn't specify which Grade of Titanium they're using.
