Why didn’t they buy a vivo or Xiao... moreMost people don't need a battery that big, and most people wouldn't even notice a change in the battery size, you just obsess over it because it's posted in the specs. Same for charging, most people just charge their phones when they sleep. Look at the charging speed graphs, the Xiaomi 14T and S24+, one has a 67W fastcharger and the other has 45W omgitssoslow charger, yet on the charge tests that difference in Wattage only equates to MINUTES of differences in charging. It's really easy to obsess over specs on this site, like with phone size, people complain about 6.7' phones, and want >6.5' yet the difference in size between the two is just a couple millimeters.
People want reliability and a brand they can depend on; it's why consumers will spend a little extra to buy appliances from LG/Panasonic/Mayfare and not Chinese brands like TCL, even though the TCL brand is cheaper everyone knows there will be compromises when it comes to reliability and dependability

I'm not surprised... moreI'm sorry, but that's not a reason, if a phone simply has better features according to the person that wants to buy it availability shouldn't be the issue if the bands do work. Either way, there was no need to talk about whether the other options are chinese phones or not.

                Make the base Apple 16 for 2000 and add 16 pro max for 900 and let see which phone will sell more.

It's impossible to compare brand that have it's own software and have no competition with the software they use. And then to compare that brand with other brands that all share the same software and are in competition with the same software.

                        Like who cares??? Apple ships their devices to all countries maybe apart North korea, Cuba, Somalia and Vatican.
                        Xiaomi or Motorola or Honor for example ships maybe to 1/3 of what Apple and sells a lot more devices in those countries than Apple.

                          BandedKing, 6 hours agoI was about to buy Oneplus 12 but then spending 1000+ on Ch... moreWhich part you live that you pay 1000 for One plus 12? in UK one plus not cost 849 at launch and S24 ultra cost like 1249 for same amount of storage and less RAM for Ultra. That's massive difference. That is all the point of Chinese phones they usually cost half of Samsung phones and are equal or better to Samsung. It is sad to hear for some reason One Plus 12 cost as much as S24 Ultra in your part 🙂

                            As per usual Apple has the best selling flagship +$1000 phone.
                            As per usual not a single foldable device is in the top 10 sellers because nobody cares for foldables as all current foldables on the market are brittle, weak and usability nightmares that bring no tangible benefit.

                              I saw a video on youtube from some tech guy who spoke to CEO in a factory where they assemble iphones how worth is the latest iphone there. He said $10. So they sell in the rest of the world with x100 price increase. We truly live in a crazy world.

                                  thanks to their brand reputation, customer loyalty, and strong customer service etc companies like Samsung and Apple sort of hold a significant advantage...in contrast, these r something many of these Chinese companies lack or are not well known for (no offense intended)

                                  However in my case, I don’t prioritize any of that, I purchase whatever I like, as long as it isn't iOS.

                                    So as usual people have no clue what they are buying Theo worst companies in smartphone world are dominating 🤣
