Let out it this way. If there are two phones, same spec and price, one has larger screen than the other, I guarantee you most people would get the larger screen one.

potato4k, 04 Feb 2025Incorrect. More like a cheaper iPhone is the best seller. ... moreIf we are twisting sales data then the only reason generic 6.5" phablets sell well is bc they're cheap

Apple also sold more phones than Samsung for the whole year, second time in a row, are we going to see third year too, i think we are.

I have never used OnePlus phone before, but two people i know also got greenline and pinkline on their OnePlus.

The greenline scandal of OnePlus + the mediocre software of OnePlus + unavailability of OnePlus are some of reasons why OnePlus got lowest flagship sales last year since 2014.

                    iPhone 15 because has:
2x Optical Zoom, action button, dynamic island,
Powerful processor,... some exclusive features of pro model are now in base model.
Some flagship features that people need in high-end smartphone are about 80% in iPhone 15, unlike Galaxy a55, OnePlus13R, Pixel 9a which are very different of their flagships siblings.

It's not very surprising as it got not just the usual buyers but also those who held out when the 14 was released. If the 14 was half a step forward from the 13, then the 15 is an entire leap forward from the 14. If only Samsung would take note and add more upgrades on their flagship.

BandedKing, 04 Feb 2025which Nokia did you switch to btw? I switched to Nokia 8... moreNokia 8, aka the previous iteration of the Nokia 8.1.
I haven't had any issues so far, no bugs noticable, no hardware issues, plus I use it with no additional form of protection. If there's anything I've replaced, it's an aftermarket battery after 7+ years of use. It doesn't skimp on any features, but I wish it had an official IP rating and more RAM and storage options, which would've made it far more expensive than the price I purchased it for.

My parents also use Nokia C32 phones, after donating their earlier phones (Nokia Androids). They are extremely cheap, and I'm yet to notice any issues in them.

Haven't you raised complaints against them through email when you used your 8.1? Usually they tend to fix issues when you notify them directly, unlike all other brands. Also the charging port issue could've been easily fixed, if you requested the service center to use the port of a newer device compatible with the connector.

Minu, 04 Feb 2025While me, a former Samsung user who had to switch to Nokia ... morewhich Nokia did you switch to btw?

I switched to Nokia 8.1 in early 2019, full of irritating bugs and I replaced charging port 3 times in 2 years. Went from a die hard Nokia fan to indifferent for that brand. Then switched to Samsung and stuck with the brand.

I do agree that Samsung has been cutting down on innovation and features, and severely overpriced flagship especially ultra. This might be my last Samsung phone if they don't innovate like 2010s.

Sony is surprisingly doing well, had my eye on Sony but wasn't available other than Grey models.
