The video quality on the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 pro with the main camera is very oversharpened, oversaturated and overcontrasty. It makes human faces look really bad. Hopefully the video quality is not so oversharpened on the Xiaomi 15 ultra

    If that happens, then I don't see any problem, it's already better than Samsung that only lives on software and the hardware is underutilized.

          Not a huge upgrade on the Xiaomi 14 ultra and Xiaomi 13 ultra. Basically one upgrade with the 4.3x hp9 replacing the 5x imx858. One downgrade with the ultrawide. Other two cameras are the same. All of the Chinese ultras seem to have reached a stage where it's difficult to make significantly upgrade camera hardware. Based on hardware specs the find x8 ultra seems to be the only one among the big three (Xiaomi, Vivo and OPPO) that won't downgrade any of the camera sensors though and it'll be the only one with a flat screen so I think that's the most interesting of the three. Only one sensor will see an upgrade in that one too though. For ultra phones there have only been minor camera hardware improvements in the last three generations (although for Oppo and Vivo they weren't called ultras previously but the find x6 pro and x90pro+ were their top models and effective ultra phones at the time)

            This will absolutely be the camera king of 2025 and I can't wait to see how much further Xiaoimi will push it this year. Hopefully 4k120 and LOG on all rear lenses. That's really the only thing missing from the 14 Ultra.

                What about the front facing camera

                  Well this rumor made my day 😊

                    There should be a much larger gap between focal lengths if a phone is going to have 2 telephoto cameras. It doesn't help that the 3x sensor is 1/2.51" while the 4.3x sensor is 1/1.4". Why bother using the 3x camera when I could just use the 4.3x camera and get better image quality?

                      I wish the ultrawide had some LYT sensor from Sony.
