Samsung decided that the Galaxy S25 Ultra can make do with a basic S Pen, but that may have been a miscalculation.

Apparently there will be an S pen with battery for the S25. The current S pen has the coils but missing the battery (empty space where it was). If you need Bluetooth S Pen pay for it = upsell. Samsung should have just pulled an S21 Ultra where you could get an S pen separately with a case at least that way the Pen can be a little bigger.

    It's Qi2.1, and those two aren't the same. It doesn't have the built-in magnets of Qi2, nor does it have the faster charging speeds that would come with it.

    Like every new flagship on the market, and Samsung didn't make the chipset either. So, not exactly a big deal.

Second of all, now that you've switched you are already missing a feature from the older model. Is this how it should be, is this right like this in your opinion? Shouldn't the newer phone be better in every possible way instead of being the same or worse?

        Either way, it's clear that Samsung's 7 years of OS update support is worthless and means absolutely nothing.

          Samsung refuse to make a real ultra phone, by removing the Bluetooth and the battery from Spen is like going back 10 years.
          South Korea had 16 GB RAM option on s25 ultra,I'm waiting for 2 tb internal storage.
          S24 and s25 u don't make good pictures anymore.

                          Could you not buy some sort of aftermarket stylus that has Bluetooth functionality? Or are the features missing in the actual phone itself as well as the s-pen?

                            I dont think anyone serious enough disputes the fact that this year we have a sidegrade in our hands in the camera department and a unquestionable downgrade when it comes to the s pen functionality.

                            You get a better processor, yet for people like me, the s24u is good enough performance wise, what i care about the most is the camera department and the most useful feature that i had in my s24u s pen is now gone, what would then be the point for me to even consider such an "upgrade"?

                              Using S25U for few days coming from S24U

                              Better ergonomics and screen estate
                              Slightly improved image quality esp in telephotos
                              OneUI 7 is game changer (my country isn't eligible for OneUI 7 beta) --> S24/S23 surely will get it. It is the most exciting thing coming from my previous phone, sooo i'd like to say better buy S24U with discounted price if u have the patience to wait.

                              Other things are mostly similiar, and i miss S pen Bluetooth functionality 🫠

                                The Note series and then the S Ultra devices are, and have always been the phones to be packed with every feature possible even if not many people use said features. Whether, or not it's actually true that such little amount of people were using the S Pen Bluetooth functionality, it still shouldn't matter on an Ultra expensive Ultra phone, with a unique feature that is becoming less and less unique. It's one thing that most people likely don't care about polls that are asking their usage, or just aren't willing to share it, but it's also very likely that there is a huge percentage of S Ultra users that don't use the S Pen at all, or even the periscope lens at all, or never wirelessly charge their phones, so might as well remove one, or all of those features as well, but keep charging the same.

                                This year they tried to hide the S Pen downgrade, with barely upgrading the ultrawide camera to one that now has a higher resolution but half the pixel sizes. Even though it was clear that the 3x zoom needed the biggest update, not to be worried they will likely update that next year when they will also likely remove the S Pen.

                                  You would be absolutely correct, if it weren't for the simple fact that they didn't have to put anything there, it was ALREADY THERE, they just removed it, which is what they shouldn't have done.

                                    I have every device and eco system. I am a spoiled only child. I can truly say. Apple is better software. Much more user friendly. However, Samsung is better hardware......feels more premium.....Microsoft is middling software and middling hardware.....

                                      Most people who voted they'd miss Bluetooth pen don't have an s2xU and most of the rest didn't know the pen had Bluetooth until last week
