The battery capacity doesn't sound very promising.

“and it will be paired with a 12MP ultrawide shooter, likely the same one used in the vanilla and plus Galaxy S25 models”

Wow, Samsung can’t even put an autofocusing ultrawide in a $1,100 phone.

      Un-disputed, 17 hours agoThe battery sucks.you're right. immagine if they'd implemented a Si/C Li-Ion battery, would have been a 4500.

If it was 6.1" or 6.2" with 4000mAh - I would be tiny bit interested. But not in this size.

DarlingYext, 12 hours agoThis phone has a bigger display and a more power hungry SoC..And higher resolution one, since upscaler feature requires 1440p panel.

Un-disputed, 17 hours agoThe battery sucks. It's the same size as the regular S23, and the battery life on that phone was very good, so don't get too worried yet.

Not really that ridiculous of a number. I'd prefer one that is truly smaller rather than thinner. Fits in the hand and pocket. Sounds like you'll enjoy the Edge, though. ✌️

It could come with a much bigger battery. And if you prefer the S25U, I am happy fo you. I prefer slimmer phones, even if they need to downgrade the specs.

They making it sad limber then before.. 🫣 checking it out, walk back a bit difference ain’t much..
naah, walks away faster this time..

Would make more sense if it’s kinda compact..

DarlingYext, 13 hours agoYeah, it's slim but it's still going to be large ... moreI agree. No need for the latest and greatest chip/screen/battery/camera. Just give me a slim phone.

Basically four credit cards stacked on top of each other is the difference. You're telling me you''ll be able to tell the difference in your pocket? Press X to doubt.
Not a wonderful idea, it isn't innovative, it is under specced for the price, it is absurd. No one is buying this thing. We get told we can't have a 5.5in screen 'small' phone because there's no market and then they come up with this thing. Samsung doing all it can to lose market share.

Samsung execs at launch event: What's up guys? We heard some people want a phone with a "smaller form factor", so check this out : the slim phone no one wanted or asked for is HERE with worse specs than you could have imagined ! Check out th- - hey, where's everyone going ?

U100Fan, 13 hours agoNo it is just right for a SLIM phone!Yeah, it's slim but it's still going to be large with a big bright display that NEEDS a large battery. I totally understand where you are coming from, but the S24/S25 are way better options for what you need, since those are smaller, and are actually small and lightweight phones.

Plus I get it, not everyone needs the best cameras and the best of everything possible, but then why the need for the Snapdragon 8 Elite? This thing will run hot no matter what you are going to do on it, since it's too powerful for how little room it has for cooling.

Un-disputed, 17 hours agoThe battery sucks. No it is just right for a SLIM phone!

I cannot understand all the people trying to trash this wonderful idea of a SLIM smartphone. YES, this is what I want, not a brick that has a huge battery and twelve cameras and weighs a ton. If you want a bigger screen, a larger battery, more cameras, Samsung has a S25 variant for you. Choose one of the other ones and do not belittle the battery or camera setup of the S25 Edge. There are people out there that do not want a huge bulge in their jacket /shirt just because you want every phone to have a monstrous battery or a large camera island poking out. Should I run out of juice, there is always a charger at the office, in the car, at home or an USB-cable attached to my laptop.
The only thing this phone lacks, is a 3.5mm headphone jack – another thing these thick phone crusaders will hate.

Sounds like Samsung is going to put together a smartphone from all the leftover parts.

Samsung has to start using those silicon carbon batteries that Chinese brands were using

Galaxy s10e is way better if you want slim and small phone with ofc small battery, at least its compact phone...
