Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge camera specs surface, to be slimmer than anticipated

I cannot understand all the people trying to trash this wonderful idea of a SLIM smartphone. YES, this is what I want, not a brick that has a huge battery and twelve cameras and weighs a ton. If you want a bigger screen, a larger battery, more cameras, Samsung has a S25 variant for you. Choose one of the other ones and do not belittle the battery or camera setup of the S25 Edge. There are people out there that do not want a huge bulge in their jacket /shirt just because you want every phone to have a monstrous battery or a large camera island poking out. Should I run out of juice, there is always a charger at the office, in the car, at home or an USB-cable attached to my laptop.
The only thing this phone lacks, is a 3.5mm headphone jack – another thing these thick phone crusaders will hate.

Charged 25 hours and 32 minutes ago.
SoT: 6 hours and 10 minutes (games, calls, photos, internet)
Battery percentage: 38
This is at maximum display resolution and 120 hertz refresh rate, Brightness 70 percent.
How "bad" do you think this is?

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2025Calling, video playback and internet browsing are demanding... moreIt's not just that. For example, watch a YouTube video comparing WiFi6/7 between S25U, 16PM, and 1+13, and you'll see how Samsung's doesn't work at 100 percent initially, but gradually catches up. That's what I'm talking about.

Too small, too pricey and too useless.
People of nowdays should learn to go with bigger phones because they are better specced and instead of excuses like small pockets they should buy clothes with bigger pockets to carry their regular sized 6,8 up to 8 inch phone instead of tiny, small, superlightweight in other words completely useless phone.
For those who needs a small hone there is still something like Nokia 105 or Zanco T1 Tiny smallest working phone on planet.
Bigger is always better no excuses.

Uw should have been replaced with telephoto with macro capabilities and battery capacity is just too less. They'll have to cheat in software department to compensate. And more importantly it would result in just one time experimental model. People would rather be happy to buy vanilla versions of s25 rather than this inferior piece of hardware for more price. Its not like other variants are too thick than this that it'll make any difference.
Main thing a person needs is handiness maybe a traditional looking phone with 16:9 aspect ratio and 5.7" screen would be successful rather than this

DarlingYext, 10 Feb 2025Thin, fragile, midrange cameras, awful battery life and man... morePeople with no money in every Samsung , Apple, Google posts will convince to not buy this phones because these phones are "bad".
They convince to buy oppo shmoppo one plus two minus poco coco unrealme phones because of unmatched price perfomance.
But people with money will buy Apple, Samsung, Google because of good warranty service, ecosystem and other goodies not noname brands.
Maybe in Asia all this brands are famous brands, but not in Europe and North America.
I should buy some realme or vivo on amazon because amazing p/p and then struggle with warranty? No thanks.
Even xiaomi top tier phones not popular in Europe anymore because now they match samsung and Apple phone price.

TheCoolestPeachy, 10 Feb 2025The last sentence got me thinking, how would the industry h... moreThey can't go bankrupt that easily. They make displays, chipsets, camera sensors etc. Oh they also make home appliances. They are like too big to fail. In fact, it's literally in their name. The word "Samsung" literally means 3 stars which are never fading. Though, if they were to go bankrupt, I certainly won't be shedding tears.
My opinion is Samsung focuses on the "supply vs. demand" aspect of the market. They make sure they make sales, but also at the same time, they are not going to price their products too low to maintain their "supply" on par with demand. (just basic marking strategy y'know). For example, they will keep that 10MP telephoto sesnor in S-series if it's not hurting their sales. I'm not saying it's good. It's just what it is. Most people who buy Samsung stuff aren't GSMArena commenters anyways....
Actually, you guys should go watch the latest LinusTechTips video where 3 iPhone users were offered multiple android flagships to choose from. The kicker is, none of them choose Oppo Find X8 and OnePlus 13. They are Canadian btw. It goes to show Chinese phone manufacturers still have a long way to go in their software if they really want to dominate the western market.
