        If they wanted to make a light phone, they wouldn't give it a 6.7 inch screen

          Galaxy Alpha was 115 grams, and that was 10 years ago.

                    Wanted to buy S25+, but same old phone.
                    Will wait for the Edge instead...big screen, powerful processor, very thin and light, updated camera, new design. No Telephoto but I never use zoom. Small battery (Si/C ?) but it will surely be optimized to last for a day. Perfect !

Costs of doing business in Europe are higher too. For example you have to offer a 2 year warranty whereas it's only a year warranty in China. I agree it should be cheaper but you have to account for about 20% for VAT (not VAT on these in China) plus some more for distribution and warranty costs so I think not as cheap as you mention

                            The " thin" iphone is tipped to cost more than pro max, but ppl here expect this one to be cheaper than s25? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

                            This phone is much harder to make. Redesign internals neutralize the cost saving of removing 3rd camera and Qi charging. R&D is more expensive.

                              I like lightweight phones so this is good news.

                              How light would it have been if the Edge was based on the vanilla? 140gr? That would have been record breaking.

                              In any case, well done Samsung. I won't buy a heavy phone because I jog and ride bikes a lot. Light and packs a punch is easily the winner.
