Tipster claims the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's battery capacity will be less than 6,000 mAh

Although it's unclear if that will be Si/C or Li-Ion type.

I just noticed they don't know what kind of battery this is. So, it could be a SSB. Samsung confirmed they are commercializing SSBs for their smartwatch next year. It's possible it could be ready for their handsets too.

      Well,Its Samsung afterall.
      It would be quite idiotic to expect 20% battery improvement within just 1 update.
      Look at S21U to S25U,exact same battery for 5 years straight.

        If you want to use Phone Buff's battery test as reference then the Find X8 Pro is significantly better than the iPhone in terms of standby battery drain.

            You guys are all overlooking one key aspect of increased battery life : Standby Battery Drain ( the drain in battery when the phone is idle and not being used ) . Apple leads here. Thats why it can give better battery life at relatively lower capacities than android phones. If the phone is sitting idle for 4 hours , the battery percentage wont drop at all in Apple. But in Samsung ( or any other andriod ) it degrades by 5% easily. Hence if they can optimze the stand by battery drain in the ultra, that would be the real game changer . Alongside that , the increased capacity, Si-C batteries coupled with a more efficient M14 panel should give a better battery experince with longevity. Inwould surely prefer they put at least 5800 mAH battery if not 6000 mAH.

                      By the time Samsung uses 6000~7000 ma batteries for their galaxy note/ultra, chinese brands would have already moved to 10000ma batteries with 30 hours SOT

I think they might push for dual cell 6000 mah batteries so that at least they get fast charging even if the battery capacity stays the same. The Find X8 Pro and the X200 Pro's charging speeds are pathetic if someone's coming from an X100 Pro or the Find X7 Ultra.
