Phone Critic, 13 Feb 2025Wait.... So is Pro 3a Version then getting Snapdragon 7 Gen... moreNo Gen 4 isn't out yet. The geek bench points to a 7s Gen 3 unless they have tried to mislead people. The design and specs would have been set for a while now. Don't expect an elite chip.

DVSeal, 13 Feb 2025If that's the plan sounds like they'll be milking... moredon't be so sure, qualcomm just announced the 6 gen 4, so they will most likely name it snapdragon 7 gen 4 instead of 7 elite

6.8 inch makes me really sad. Hopefully they launch a mini version some time in near future with 6.3 inch screen

Carl is just trying to create an hype about 3a seriez as he might know tat this series is gonna be flop because iqoo and realme phones are gonna shake the market in coming days with a high end chip n tat with lower prices just see the recent news about iqoo neo 10r with 8s gen 3 its gonna be cheap with high end performance n realme gt 7t tats gonna be cheap too with high end performance so guys elite is just a hype from him so tat he can gain the attention from the people Nothing CarlElse Mark my word

So these phones won't support AV1 anymore. Slight step back.

What's taking qualcomm so long to adopt this?

I agree completely, the fact they're using elite so blatantly while also typing @snapdragon. It seems highly likely that they maybe putting a snapdragon 8 elite SoC inside the Nothing 3a which would be extremely interesting. That being said, I'd be happy with a Snapdragon 7+ gen 3 which as of now is currently only in 1 device. I also think a Snapdragon is gen 3 would be stellar for a device like this.

The only reason I'm not sold on the Snapdragon 8 elite SoC is because it's known for running hot and overheating. The Snapdragon 7+ gen 3, Snapdragon is gen 3, and Snapdragon 8 gen 3 have all been proven to be extremely powerful but also efficient. What's the point of a super powerful SoC inside a phone if it eats battery life too quickly.

                                      - Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2
                                      - Snapdragon 7 Gen 3

But the 3a is already strong with the 7s Gen 3.
Unless... there are already leaks of the 7 Gen 4 in the works. That would be surprising.
