            Once they fall behind the schedule, they will always play catch up in the future, pushing future updates further away.

            Just like their SoC.

              Samsung are REALLY messing up this year. First they destroyed the S pen, then they kept all the cameras, screen and battery identical to last year, and now they are severely delayed on OS updates.

              Even Poco and other cheap androids run Android 15….while top of the range Samsung are on Android 14….

              Samsung are loaded. Can’t they hire more developers????

                                  this is what happens when all the top important management position are all korean. it show in their day to day work. oh for fuck sake fix the degraded sound quality in S23 series now been waiting for months already

                                    You guys acting like Android 16 would give more features than Android 15 One Ui 7. No it wont, 3rd party skins updates are always giving more new perks than Android version Update. (Nothing fundamentally difference between Android 15 to 16, heck even back to Android 12)

                                    And you people always said, "security is always priority" and as far as i know, even i don't get day 1 Android version update, i get pretty much monthly security updates from day 1 i brought the phone.

                                    So, for me as long as it gets long One UI Updates, and monthly security, it's fine. Even if the Android version lagging behind few months from the newest one.

                                    And we are here are pretty much minority from the rest of the world. There more people even don't care or even afraid of updating software, even the iPhone user.

                                    But maybe for make the update faster, samsung could separate the upfate between the OS version and One UI Updates. So if what makes it takes long is the One UI, people can have Android 15 with One UI 6.1.1 instead

                                        In the end, 7 years of updates gonna be 4 android , at most 5.

                                        Second most expensive android non-foldable of 2024 is still on android 14.
