One UI 7 might still be a few months away from rolling out on older Samsung devices

Dantmv, 14 Feb 2025They have long lasting support and a boatload of different ... moreThe problem isn't, that only a few Samsung devices have received Android 15, the issue is that none of them have received it yet, even though other brands already pushed their updates to 2-3 year old phones.

    It's crazy, even their own UI isn't ready yet.. Xiaomi or others upgraded Android first if their own skin wasn't ready yet. It's not Google's fault that Samsung hasn't received Android 15 yet, because Samsung is slow, like its charging speed.

Only xperia Z received the update or very recently released at that time budget phones got it.
          Sony kept quiet and had no response to angry users, i was one of them. Did that make me hate sony?? No
          I used xperia z1 for 2 or 3 years, also xperia z2 and z3 for short periods, software and optimisation and update speeds were the best at that time, even today sony still good. Whatever made them not keep their word, i think they did the right thing leaving it as it is and not rushing an unfinished software update.
          Samsung surely would have wanted that one ui7 a15 was already released and people were happy. They have a reputation to keep especially as the s24 is their flagship, not A15 or some other low budget device. If there are delays they must have some problems.

            Now they can push their paid AI services earlier. More time on 6.1.1 means less time on 7.0. Smart marketing :P

              Android 16 is already prepare for final beta release before One UI 7 on April 💀


              typically sammy fans would be hated for OS upgrade delays.

                                However, there is some justice for S24U users. They may use beta software, but S25U users use a beta phones.

                                    I'm in no rush to update. One UI 6.1.1 turned my Z4 into a heater, damaged the cables and the main screen started giving out two months before I was set to trade it in. I can go to Best Buy and play with the S series if I want that buttery smooth experience. My Z6 is smooth as-is.

I mantain crDroid for multiple devices and will be releasing it for the Xperia 5 V (my main phone and favorite phone of all time) soon, and I know very well that you should not skip Android versions. Usually, if companies can't deliver on the update, they just don't do it. Samsung has failed to deliver on update promises several times before, even if the device is able to run whatever update it is.
