Basically just the V40 with larger battery.
Not saying the V40 is a bad phone. In fact, it's a good phone and the camera is really fun to use. But this gives less value proposition for the V50. I guess the better deal would be buying a discounted V40 instead, if it's still available.

          Pathetic Pricing. You could have expected pricing less as the chip is 1.5 year older now but Vivo milks from this series which is shameful. OnePlus offers same chip at 21999 for base 8/128 and 23999 for 8/256. At least 30000 would have been fairer deal for 8/256 but no. No Thanks Vivo. Not Interested. We'll wait for V60 only if you guys equip them with 7 Gen 4.

            7+ is like special edition get few models for few brands to use

            My last phone also had special chip as SD636 that didnt end on a lot of phones but was expected to be new sd625 and now closing in on 2 years with the rare 3-4 model in the market with 7+ gen 2 in my phone

              Nov 2023, it's not even that old. It's just Vivo launched V30, V40 and now 50 without having much time interval

                Slightly overpriced. Vivo could've been more aggressive with the pricing.

                  They should've at least give us ufs 3.1 instead of this super outdated ufs 2.2.

                      It would be very impressive for vivo to have used the 7 Gen 3 for 3 years, considering that the chipset isn't even 2 years old. 🤭

                      They have used it for the past 3 generations of their base V series, but the oldest of those phones is the V30, and even that device is only 1 year old. I have said it before, but I'll say it again I think the V40 shouldn't have existed at all, but at least with the V50 there is a new option for people to basically buy the V40 and not have to deal with the curved display.

Also it released less than 2 years so its not a really old SoC, even with that Exynos 1480 which released in 2024 still falls behind SD 7 gen 3, and surprisingly got beaten by 7s gen 3 lol.
