YUKI93, 19 Feb 2025If you have to quote MKBHD video, then you really have no i... moreMKBHD's blind camera test isn't about his opinion on camera quality. Viewers voted on which photos looked best without knowing which phone took them.
His video simply presents the aggregated results of those votes. This is valuable because it reflects what people actually prefer, not just spec-sheet comparisons. Not everyone is a photography expert, and this test reflects the preferences of a broader audience.
This is the final image is what matters most, especially with computational photography playing such a big role in modern phone cameras. So the S23 have shown good results at fifth place, without the need for bigger sensors.

Yeah, so did Hungary, but you know if I started talking about how many Forint things cost, nearly nobody would understand which is why I just mentioned it in Euros.

Inflation is " increase in the cost of living as the price of goods and services rise. The rate of inflation measures the annual percentage change in the general price level. Inflation leads to a decline in the value of money."
Your nonsensical comment if applicable is ONLY specific to your country, individual countries have different rates of inflation. Europe is NOT a country it is a group of countries a REGION.
Within Europe itself Euros prevail whilst some have retained the national currency as we the UK did
"Currently the base S25 in Europe costs about 940 eur (982 USD), but if inflation wouldn't be a thing, it would cost about 795 eur (831 USD)."
If it did make sense it still would be garbage, " but if inflation wouldn't be a thing"?????
Additionally e.g inflation in a country can be triggered by external factors or actor in another. As you are aware recent events one country is using Import Tariffs, this only works if Inelastic demand A coefficient answer less than 1 (I'll leave it at that.)
When I sat in class in school be taught all this stuff, knowing the different path I wanted to take I really wondered if it was a complete waste of time, I guess not.
This other whatever
"Components became cheaper, especially the ones that they've been using for years, even 1440p displays aren't that expensive anymore,"
As usual you type all this fabricated stuff up without offering an iota of proof, no source, and as everybody can see the pattern, Samsung is bad
Unfortunately your multi comment in everything Samsung are a lot worse,
Not just science, socially science! AND FLAGSHIP

DarlingYext, 18 Feb 2025Vivo X200 Pro mini (6.31") with better feature set any... moreThey are not in the same class (S25 vs Vivo):
6.2" LTPO screen < 6.31" LTPO screen
146.9 x 70.5 x 7.2 mm < 150.8 x 71.8 x 8.2 mm
162 grams < 187 grams
I had a Pixel 8 which is same weight and size as this so called "mini" phone, it's literally a huge difference compared to the smaller and lighter S24, let alone the S25.
Those seemingly small differences make all the difference in hand feel and pocketability, the most important factors for everyday use, especially for a phone marketed as "mini" or compact.

For both of them, those who pre-ordered or bought them at launch paid a lot of money. The difference is that one is sold with Android 15 and the other won't receive the update to 15 until Samsung maximizes the sales potential of the one sold with 15. Even when the other gets 15, it won't receive all the features of the one sold with 15, even though those who pre-ordered it or bought it at launch paid no less than those who pre-ordered and bought the one sold with 15 at launch.

The vivo is actually smaller than something like an S21 despite the bigger display, and that was called a compact phone, everyone who wanted something compact could handle it, so surely they can handle the X200 Pro mini as well.

Base S20 had $1214 price in today... moreThat's not how inflation works at all. The money we have today simply worths less than the money we had in 2020 when the S20 launched. Currently the base S25 in Europe costs about 940 eur (982 USD), but if inflation wouldn't be a thing, it would cost about 795 eur (831 USD).
Following the same path, that 1200 USD S25 Ultra would only cost 1015 USD.

DarlingYext, 18 Feb 2025Same midrange phone as last year, just a bit more expensive... moreStill better than any chinese flagship thats actually an chinese entry level phone pretending to be flagship.
Not to mention, using a floor drain as camera island is also the reason why most people avoid buying these floor drain wannabe phones.

Base S20 had $1214 price in today's value.
Today with $1200 people could get far better phone S25 Ultra with far better hardware and far better software compared to base S20. Samsung do make big leaps of improvement compared to older Samsung flagship with the same price value.
So my comment is correct.

Anonymous, 18 Feb 2025This cameras are non acceptable... Cheaper mid-range phones... moreVery true. If S26 would have the new 200mp main camera, 50mp new ultrawide and the new 50mp 3.5x zoom (5x could be exclusive to Ultra model), then I'd consider returning to Samsung. Maybe then we could call it compact premium. But for now it's a midranger.
