Looks kind of good. I usually don't care for the crap ultrawide on mobile phones and mostly use 2x anyway since regular main cam is already too wide. Since the iphone 16 has a ultrawide and not a telephoto and the same screen then this is worth considering. I already have a main Android phone (IOS lacks sideloading apps XD) so I only need a decently priced iphone as a secondary phone. The previous se was also not bad. Would have been great if it was lcd and not oled though. One major con is the lack of auto focus for the front cam.

I'm not even using top Android SoC and yet it feels snappy. You are almost always more limited with the RAM, RAM speed and storage speed than the CPU (unless the thermal limit causes throttling).

The "e" in iPhone 16e probably stands for "eWaste", or "environment friendly" because they're recycling parts from older iPhones to reduce inventory stock. 😂
At this point, they're fleecing their customers to see who would be gullible enough to buy it.

Apple will release 64GB and even 32GB model, after seeing that none is interested for that AI phone. Everybody needs a badget phone that works not a $600 AI only phone.

By "ec9nomic" they probably mean that it costs less fort hem to make it, but kind of the same for the end user? I mean i would'nt know what is economic about this, after you buy it, if you want a charger or a cable they cost, for absolutly NO reason, more then actually economic phone. But well, this is apple doing apple and using some random names for something unimpressive, like bionic, and retina and whatever other b.s names.

And as noted below - AI needs entire model to be loaded into RAM. 8 GB means you can only use weak models up to 3 billion parameters that needs up to 2 GB of RAM, as you still need at very least 6 GB for system and apps to work. With 12 GB you can load models with 7 billion parameters that are 4 GB and still have almost 8 GB of RAM available to system, apps. With 16 GB you can have 7B model loaded and still play games.
