Tbh, this price point is just OK but I was expecting it to be $100 or even $50 cheaper like what most people would've thought. It's replacing a new iPhone 14 so this seems like a better deal. Also a lot better than SE2 and SE3.

However, the omission for Magsafe is surprising and shows Apple's stinginess. There's also one less GPU core compared to iPhone 16, lack of Action Mode, sensor-shift OIS, cinematic mode and UWB.

Better off getting the cheaper and older iPhones instead, the true SE in price.

      I bought a 256GB S25 for the same price as this iPhone 16e in its basic version. It will have 7 years of updates. But hey, here are two ‘useless’ phones with a 6.1/6.2 inch screen for people who don't have ‘real pockets’. Both will sell very well...

        That's very expensive. I'd just get the base iPhone 16 which is better looking, has better specs and you aren't beta testing their new modem.
        They should have sold this for a whole 100-200 USD less.

              Bare minimum specs with a top tier SoC for the price of a true flagship just doesn't make any sense.
              I understand that it's a bit cheaper than the base iPhone 16, but wouldn't it make more sense to get a 2-3 year old iPhone Pro?

              Oh well, it will sell really well even if it doesn't seem good for the price.
