20 February 2025
It features one less GPU core than the A18 on the iPhone 16.

Vale, 20 Feb 2025Omg imagine paying 600$ (or more in other countries) for: ... moreFirst of all, nobody pays $600. Most people will get it on a contract. Second of all, Top of the line Samsung Galaxy A55 doesn’t have wireless charging! 😂

I just imagine how it is for MediaTek.

      Binned chip?
      More so failed regular.
Or maybe Apple will tell us that this one is better for whatever costumer scamming reason.

Honestly want to see 16gb iPhone again.
Just curious how they will advertise it.
And also "2 in 1" camera.... what a consumer milking device is this... but sadly it will still be bought and still it will make tons of profit.

Anonymous, 20 Feb 2025Imagine paying €700 for a 2015 spec phone. “2015 spec phone”… yet it has things that top of the line Samsung midrange A55 doesn’t have!

        - Wireless charging
        - 2x Telephoto
        - Satellite connectivity
        - Full IP68 Water resistance
        - Small chin bezel

It will throttle hard before that becomes a problem.

Good way to get rid of binned chips, by placing them in a cheaper phone. Wonder how good the yield is on TSMC's 3nm process and what percentage of those chips are binned.

S I R E, 20 Feb 2025Apple is so high on their shill audience they wanna get awa... moreYour so called “worse version” still performs better than 99.99% of the Android counterparts at this price.

It will be even better when it gets discounted, or tied to a carrier contract.

You’re the shill for wanting feature parity based on the name, rather than price.

I just dont understand to who this phone is made for. It just makes no sense what so ever. iPhone 15 is only year old and cost less then this 16e and you get a lot more with the 15 then you get with the 16e

At 400 euro i see a market for 16e. Anything over that is already crazy over priced. It's like the iPhone mini experience all over again. At least for mini there was the compact size that was even smaller then SE. Now this 16e have nothing going for it and price is just insane

Anonymous, 20 Feb 2025Imagine paying €700 for a 2015 spec phone. Which still uploads photos and videos on any app better than any android flagship today

Steve's jobs was right ... A company starts to move away from being a PRODUCT company to being about profits

When what made the company big in the beginning was an amazing product

But when profits can be made without improving the product complacency sets in and then accountants and marketers run the company (eg cook)

This is apple and Samsung there is no incentive to make the actual hardware etc any better because they have a brand image ...

Apple is so high on their shill audience they wanna get away with a worse version of an already gimped version of A18.

Keep in mind, A18 Pro is just a name, it's the base design which if fails a little bit is non pro and then if it fails more is the 16e.

This makes even Qualcomm look okay. Maybe that's the strategy. Everyone starts making worse products so then there is no good point of reference left and eventually. "What is a computer" turns to "what is bad?" "Compared to who"

one bad Apple folks, remember the phrase.

So even the chipset by name was just marketing, that's fine, for specs like this, even this SoC is overpowered and this phone would've been overpriced even with the A18 Pro.

How come it's still overpriced compared to Itel S25 Ultra or the Motorola G45???

Apple playing as an Ol-Dirty Scammer,

While Android playing as Phone Jesus.
