Magnetic interference could very well be the case for its newly developed Modem doesn’t want to get involved in some unsavoury issues. Cost cutting is already there but MagSafe compatibility only will lead to more accessories selling! So this reason of cost cutting hard to believe!

Forsi147, 21 Feb 2025What is the point of "7 years of updates" , when ... moreiPhone 16e battery replacements cost $99, which isn’t cheap, but it’s a lot better than having to replace your entire phone. Plus, it looks like the battery can be replaced the same way as the iPhone 16’s, so it’s not too hard to fix it yourself.

What if someone wants a phone that supports Magsafe as their minimum requirement? They would just get this 16e. Apple doesn't want it happened. They want you to spend an additional $100 to get an iPhone that supports it. Why? Because it's Apple.

It's nothin other than apple being clever with their pricing ladder. Lack of magsafe ensures that current owners of iPhones, who are used to Apple high prices will spend $200 more buying iPhone 16 and up while the price is of 16e remains attractive to new, cash cautious converts to the iPhone religion.

Why did they call it the iphone 16e? They could have named it the 16v for "vomit", the 16d for "dogshit", or the 16b for "bad value".
