It has 2 cameras, bigger screen and latest iOS version as 16e. A12 kicks ass it's basically Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 level chipset, so phone handles everything. And you right A15 or A16 are monstrous chipsets it will last another 5-7 years without any issues. But Apple says please go and buy 16e for 599 🤣

Very alarming news that iPhones in the UK are no longer encrypted. A shame that Apple rolled over on this instead of fighting tooth and nail. Apple's privacy was one of the reasons to choose them over Android. Not so much now.

Classic case if launching a device 2 years ahead. This will be a hit after 2 years when the prices are logical and the chip is still relevant.
The only bottleneck will be the 128 gigs but for people moving from an SE this will be a valid upgrade.
Apple had to do nothing much to make this phone so they just created a model and dumped it. If it sells now they make more profit, if it keeps selling after 2 years they make less profits but overall higher revenues.
I will also add to it....even the 16pro line is not a worthy upgrade (my 13p works the same) but still it's new from Apple and will sell.
It is not about the changes they offer, but the consistency. We have so much to learn why waste time learning a new os or a new interphase or a device that throws curveballs...this is what the companies are after consistency amd habit.
I use 2 devices an iPhone and a Samsung because they seasoned me since ages to accustom to their UI/OS/Features etc now I feel less incentivised to move to a new system.
