Because that discount is what the price should have been in the first place and what it will be in the future anyways. Or the Samsung that says they give double the storage for the same price and later that’s just the normal price.

Who is this phone even for? For people that don't care about anything, but the chipset and iOS? Those are the only things it can offer, but it's not like the A15/A16 is a slow chipset in the iPhone 14 series, so even that's a stretch.
