potato4k, 26 Feb 2025So it only starts with the SD8 Elite and new 7 series. Well... more7s gen 3 & 6 gen 4 were basically the same soc from the cpu/gpu stand point

Let's hope phone manufacturers have a strategy to deliver those 8 years OS updates on time and not delay any phone with whatever processor

potato4k, 26 Feb 2025So it only starts with the SD8 Elite and new 7 series. Well... moreThis doesnt mandate oems to update for 8 years.

So it only starts with the SD8 Elite and new 7 series. Well, expect all OEMs to only use SD6 series for the next few years for their mid range to avoid having to provide longer support. 🤭 I'm expecting more devices with the recycled 6s gen 3

DeepIn2U, 26 Feb 2025Why mention asics with Qualcomm & Google when stating t... moreBruh 💀, its because the 8 year update policy is starting with the SD 8 Elite and Google is the maker of Android.... It's not that hard to understand

Well in that case we still didn't receive OneUI 7 yet so consider seeding the update to the eligible devices 🙏🗿

Why mention asics with Qualcomm & Google when stating the 8 Elite when NO Google product uses that SoC or asics at all!!!

                  Boom!

This is the second arm of QC that nobody before understood!!

I told you all before just a few comments ta back why it would take an OEM like Samsung to usher out OneUI 7 to all it's devices due to having so many chipsets and thus it's not just copy n paste. That new bugs get introduced from 1 platform to another - here i mean chipsets and thus the SoC manufacturer may need to help in fixing bugs.
