Anyways, I still do think that this sort of button is cringe and the only acceptable method is a two-stage shutter button. It feels cool, looks good and is actually useful.

NOT an actual button like this phone or the Sony Xperia 1 V's camera button. There's a distinct difference between the lock/volume buttons and the camera control of the iPhone.

Very awkward camera button placement. You either accidentally press it with your thumb while adjusting your grip trying to take a photo, or if you want it on top, good luck trying not to block the lens. At this point, the volume button is probably a better camera button.

These CAMON 40's isn't feel an upgrade. Still uses Helio G99/G100, even the Pro 4G version. Although, a downgraded Dimensity 7300 was in (from D8200 on CAMON 30 Pro 5G). Unless make a price down to make similar price quite ahead as the D7020 (on CAMON 30 5G).

But still, CAMON 20 Pro 5G is alive, and being used to it. With concern of heating issue in heavy games, but I'd get manage to limit that for all day use case (not super gaming).

While we were here shamming Apple a while ago for their lack of innovation (the added button is not innovative in any way), it has now suddenly become a norm for every device being produced in 2025. This is sad

Corvo7, 26 Feb 2025Good choice too, but I doubt they would use. 😑Why do you doubt they would use it?

Yeah technically speaking you're right ig in a way? But you know exactly what im talking about. A physical button that moves and clicks. There's no clicking sound on these camera control things, only haptic feedback. Technically a button but not really.

Even if it were a button, it sucks. I'd rather not have it.

jiyen235, 27 Feb 2025what?You said "Camera Control is not a button", which is wrong, because it is clickable.

"a small device on a piece of electrical or electronic equipment which is pressed to operate it."

And no, I won't count Xiaomi's kit, if you have to buy a bulky accessory you can have a camera button on any phone. It needs to be ON the phone itself.

justasmile, 27 Feb 2025Yes, that is a button. It's clickable, so it iswhat?

Very curious about the Ai glasses. I still think it'll be user consumption focused.

We got a dedicated camera button on ZTE and Tecno phones before Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi. This is just embarrassing. And no, the "camera control" touch sensitive thing is NOT a button.
