Ouifuf, 26 Feb 2025Working for this company must be the biggest headache ever.... moreMeizu is simply a great company with a very confused management.

Working for this company must be the biggest headache ever. 1 week you don't make phones anymore, then you release like more phones, the you focus on AI then cars then god knows what else. And now you're officially making phones again??? Even though you've been doing that all this time anyway??

If the phone gets released globally, I just hope that it doesn't get the same aosp like rom that their recent budget phones have

Good. Meizu was always one of the more innovative smartphone makers with very interesting designs.

Just a heads up: "Global" for Meizu means Russia, Chechenia, Ukraine, Egypt, Middle East, and if lucky, some Eastern European countries.

Their support is non-existent and I doubt they will reach new markets. If I remember correctly, they served Hong Kong, but required people to ship phones over to Shenzhen if they needed a repair or something.

And expect zero, 0, nada, ninguno, software updates from them. Stick with Xiaomi, vivo or Nubia if looking for a cheap flagship.

            So, new USB technology?

Meizu was once one of the most relevant names in the Chinese smartphone market. However, the company saw its competitors dominating the market and could not react. The company was acquired by electric carmaker Geely, which has even hinted at the end of the Meizu smartphone series. Perhaps, the company had a change of heart and is gearing up to re-enter the smartphone market with new flagships. Today, new rumors come for the Meizu 22 series.

if meizu released the meizu 22 series globally with flyme OS (without making any changes to it) it might compete against Xiaomi 15 series and the Vivo X200 series

Finally some good news, their flagships are usually really interesting devices.

Now this is interesting. And only to think that they were basically quitting the smartphone business last year.

Meizu is doing what Nokia couldn't.

Now what we have us Horribly Made Devices (HMD). ☹️
