Why must bi-folding devices be called tri-folds? 2 hinges equals 2 folds. This device (and Huawei's) is tri-segmented. That said, looks like an interesting piece of tech!

          nice

We have Folds, Flips, Tri-Folds, and now Tri-Flips! Stay tuned for the Quad-fold! It opens up into a Movie Theater Screen! And the Quad-flip, which closes into a speck of dust!

You put that thing on a bike and the vibrations will destroy it from the inside out very very quickly

But besides durability (which would be zero -no pun intended- ), it's a very very cool concept

Flip is ok solution but 3 times fold is not something i understand the use of.
As the only one fold in flip is making the phone already compact enough.

The only problem is that it's still too expensive. There is either only flagship with really high price or there is these Infinix like brands that are small and not known and still too high price.

Well Xiaomi also started small but they started at the time when the touchscreen smartphones just got to market. Basically at the time where lots of electronics brands who made like computer hardware also step in the phone market cause of the touchscreen makes the phone more computer then a phone only.

Now it's harder to get the brand name known. Especially the likes as Infinix and Tecno that mostly make budget hardware phones that are not even bang for the buck. Xiaomi made bang for the buck and didnt make much profit out of the phones as they needed to build the brand. Now the price is higher on Xiaomi cause they have built the brand big to a point they also make electric cars. Well modern electric cars are basically smartphones with wheels and compartment space as rest is all electronics and large battery as even the electric engine is electronics cause it's fuel is electricity to work

jiyen235, 01 Mar 2025Why are these small phone brands so daring? I must say this... moreI'd be carefully optimistic. Often enough these concepts are just that and do not come to life, or when they do, it has been quite a while

                      Cool!!
Next step to new generation form!

Marketing a folding phone for olpretty rough outdoor activities is a strangely bold move. Not sure what to make of this, is infix too confident or too clueless for this.

Either way, I've never found folding phones interesting but this is a unique take.

                              That's... That's actually cool.

while iPhone stuck on deciding how the iPhone 17's camera island would be..

this concept of a device is genius and brilliant, about time we had innovation again.

That'd be quite daring i think. Or even Huawei perhaps. The possibilities are endless!

I must say this... moreIt's unfortunate that these 'smaller' brands that come with this innovation don't have as many customers and as much market share in order to justify releasing something like this for the average consumer to buy. And so that's why, unfortunately, they mostly resort to concepts only.
